Hi, So I only began this about 10 days ago, but here's what I've done; 1) found a few long tail keywords with a decent amount of searches (when entered in "" in Google), with small amount of competition 2) Found that none were listed on first page of google in Goarticles.com 3) wrote some useful articles using good seo keyword placement and submitted them with the link to my clickbank affiliate product (which is a good high gravity product) one article has had 89 requests, is in a good niche (dating) and is in position 3 on google but out of 5 articles I have not had a sale yet. Am I being naive in thinking it will happen this quickly or have I made a massive cock up somewhere? Any advice greatly appreciated James |

Thanks for the reply. The blog is my next step but I thought I'd try out the simple approach to start with and get confident with the basics before shelling out cash on domains and hosting. Don't worry though, it's on the list! Guess I'm being a bit impatient at the moment so will get to writing some more articles. James |

How much is the searches when you mean they are "decent"? Decent to you may not be enough. Next, Is your sales pitch or sales letter written in a manner that your traffic abolsutely must get it? Does it piques their interest to know more? For dating in this case, does this really make the person want to spend money to get into your program? Is it user friendly for your traffic to sign up? Perhaps they have clicked on your link but some cock-up caused them to be unable to continue? |

The search number was 1,700 using google keyword tool with <400 competing sites for the keyword. I don't have my own product and am promoting others work. The main product I have is very good with a good sales page (although as a newbie I may be wrong) As I'm learning I don't mind telling people what the product is guygetsgirl.com Is it any good or am I using a bad product/keyword combo James |

First of all, you need more than a FEW articles in order to do well using article marketing. Second, try paying attention to your Bio Box where you actually include the link to your product. One more thing, don't forget to give VALUE! Igor |

Hi trotters it looks like you dont have enough clicks yet to see any sales. I would highly advise you capture peoples names and email. Because although you have not had any sales from the 80 or so clicks you will of been able to build a small list of maybe 10 people which you can follow up with. You just need to do this on a big scale. If you take a look at the link in my sig you can get free training on how to do all this. Hope this helps Lee |
