Hi. Im just wondering if any of you have sold your own music online? I have been producing hiphop instrumentals and I wonder maybe i can sell them. How do you think? I have an idea to make an album and make affiliet program for it.

    Hi Chris,

    You might wanna try going where hiphop artists hang out; places like myspace and facebook. There, you'll have the opportunity to at least network with folks in the industry. There's also Youtube; where you can get plenty of exposure to your music by making videos.

    @jaggyjay thanks for your replay. I allready have my myspace page and I have some offers from good artists. But they dont want to pay for beats because I am not known artist and as a pay they offer promo. What i wanted to do was create a music album and sell it thru some affilete programs. Im searchin for sombody who have done the same thing if there is one.

    I was going to say the same thing, myspace seems to the best for marketing music/artists. Seems that's how it started, wasn't it?

      I actually happen to be a producer who has been selling cds and helping producers copyright songs for years. What you're going for depends on many things.

      What kind of rights are you trying to provide with your music? Are you copywriting your songs? Do you plan on selling them to one person exclusively or to anyone who is willing to pay?

    @defy thanks for your replay. I want to sell all CD with like 20.instrumentals to anyone who are willing to pay like 10$ for unexclusive rights. Rapers can use instrumentals to their mixtapes if they are free. Basicly Im searchin for people who CAN sell my album, because I have no skills @ internet marketing.
