    Here's the GoDaddy FAQ:
Can I Cancel my Bid on GoDaddy Auctions? | GoDaddy Help | GoDaddy Support

According to that, bids cannot be cancelled.

    1) Tell GoDaddy you are gonna cancel the sale on your CC. They don't like charge backs.
    2) If they don't refund your money tell your CC company that it was a mistake and you don't want the charge.

You have obviously never read Godaddy Auctions TOS:

      5. PROVISIONS SPECIFIC TO PURCHASING/BIDDING ON DOMAIN NAMES

As a Buyer, you are obligated to complete the transaction if you purchase the domain name through a fixed price, Buy Now format, or if you are the highest bidder at the end of an auction and your bid meets or exceeds the minimum bid or reserve price. Should you fail to complete the transaction for any reason (including, but not limited to, failing to pay the purchase price if you purchase the domain name through a fixed price, Buy Now format, or if you are the highest bidder at the end of an auction and your bid meets or exceeds the minimum bid or reserve price), Go Daddy reserves the right to (i) charge you a fee or (ii) terminate your membership with Go Daddy Auctions (as determined by Go Daddy in it sole and absolute discretion).

Visa and Master Card have rules that supersede any TOS. I've seen TOS where they say they will charge you $XXX if you dispute a charge. That shit doesn't fly.

For internet sales emails are not considered signed charge slips even if the merchants have a record of the email coming from an account belonging to the cardholder. This means merchants will overwhelmingly lose the vast majority if not all retrieval requests because they have no piece of paper bearing the charge with the signature of the cardholder.

Merchants don't want the hassle because they have to pay a chargback fee to the bank sometimes up to $100.

Being confused is a legitimate complaint.
