What would you do if... Wait, NO.

I have been reading around the forum and it looks like there is a ton of information here. While I am relatively new to IM, I do know a little about it from reading around but I need help as I am sure countless others do.

So, instead of asking 'what would you do if you were to start over' or 'what would you do with x amount of dollars' I am instead going to ask one single question: Are there any free resources that you recommend to newbies and elites alike? I don't want someone to spoon feed me like most newbies. I want to know where I need to go to learn internet marketing for free without having to pay mentor hundreds if not thousands of dollars. I don't want to know useless things, as I am sure others do not as well. I don't want information overload. I don't want to buy eBook upon eBook, WSO upon WSO. I want to know where I can get free information to learn, not be spoon fed.

    In that case - there are 5 useful internet marketing forums (maybe more) and they all have a search feature - use it!

    It's amazing how many don't - and 9 times out of 10 they would get the answer they were looking for, and faster, if they would just use the search feature... but hey hoe, that's how it goes.

      That's exactly the reply I didn't want to see. If you use the search feature too often you will soon notice that you can't handle all the information. There is so much crap on this forum that either no longer holds true or never held true in the first place. I am talking about an actual quality resource - not some outdated, dysfunctional guide. I don't want to be spood fed on what to do. I just want a valuable resource where I can start my learning.

        There's no quality control of "information" online.

        I do have some sympathy with your perspective, because it's very difficult (especially when you don't have much experience) to develop the judgement needed to distinguish between information and misinformation. The inevitable reality is that there's a lot of each, here, and I don't blame you for wanting some "recommendations" as a guide.

        But unfortunately you've also made it pretty difficult for people to offer them to you, because you've said nothing specific at all about what you want to do, what you want to learn about, and what sort of information you actually want.

    ADVICE: Learn brick and mortar business fundamentals and offline advertising / marketing basics. Then, read up on PPTs = People. Process. Technologies. Why?

    That'd allow you to have the Q/A control you want for IM / MMO / SEO / online business-related things...

    Here's the cold hard truth about internet marketing as well as ANY kind of marketing or any business of any kind.

    It's gonna be MUCH MUCH more difficult to get anywhere in business without ANY kind of investment. And that's a fact Jack!

    It's completely understandable that newbies or whatever your "status" in this game, that you want to have all the information handed to you and that you wanna start making money this GOSH DANG INSTANT!!!!

    But, the REALITY of it all is, "You MUST invest in your business!" And you must invest in yourself.
    Free, cheap stuff is usually that, CHEAP.

    Nobody is gonna just hand over their successful system of making money. Here's a fact that I know that you probably don't:

    Most successful Internet Marketers are underground and unseen. They don't come here (WF) and "give" away their system for making money. Would you? I know some super successful ex-Google MEGA marketers that will never tell you anything.

    Let me tell you this from what I have discovered from this elite few.
    They don't you any "tricks" or "loopholes" or ANY scam crap to fool their way to the top. It takes time and it definitely take MONEY.

    You CAN start from nothing and build slowly. But it will be exactly that, SLOW. Success in Internet Marketing take time (at first), MASSIVE EFFORT, MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF WORK, LONG HOURS, AND SOME MONEY!

    So, when you finally understand that NO ONE is going to hand over internet success for free, or even hand it over at all, even for money, you will then begin to understand making money online a little better.

    I've had success online over and over and not once did anyone hand over the answers for free. It took all those things above.

    My 2 cents.
