Hey there fellow warriors,

As the title explains, I feel that I need some help with my newly made website and affiliate business! This is my website Karl's Tech | A place for game, movie and tech enthusiasts which niche is games, tech, movies, computers and later on programming and website help (gonna study in the fall).

Anyway, to make this smoother I'll write down som key questions I feel I need answered:

- Is there even a chance that I'll get traffic in this niche?

- If so, what can I do to drive traffic to my site? Need help with SEO mostly, free at the moment!

- As for the internet marketing part, is Clickbank an appropriate affiliate program for this niche? Any other suggestions?

I am open for any kind of suggestions, tweaks, tips and questions. If anything comes to mind about above points or anything surrounding these just give a holler!

Thank you and have a good one!

Right now you don’t have a Niche you have 3 major mass markets there : Games, Tech and Movies. Even if each of those were 3 separate websites the barriers to entry would be almost insurmountable for you to target them effectively especially if you are hoping to utilize SEO as your main traffic source.

I look at your Articles and you go from world of warcraft to traffic generation, now if this was a natural blog purely because these thing interest you and you feel like talking about them no matter what, well perfect. However it seems you want to make money with your blog, my advice is to specialize way more or you may feel frustrated very soon.

yes. If you write a good content with the right keyowords. maybe for a specific game. you might very well get organic traffic TO THAT ARTICLE/PAGE.
It differs from page to page

From my point of view, you shoot yourself in the foot right out of the box by making excuese. As soon as I read that, I figure this guy doesn't know anything, so why should I bother to hang around.

Fake It 'Till You Make It!

P.S. Thanks for making me think of that so I can make some changes too.

    I agree with Alfred,
Answering your question, yes Clickbank is definetly a good affiliate program, another suggestion is Jvzoo.com.. At the end of the day it depends on what niche you want to focus on and if you're able to promote digital products only or physical products as well (if yes then you must take advantage of it!).
Design suggestion, I think you should change the red backgroud, maybe you can use another free wordpress template, make sure it's responsive..
I think you should add email subscription, as they say; the money is in the list.
One more thing, I see that you're not organising your posts on categories, all your posts are set in "Uncategorized" this is very important, you must create categories, a good thing for your visitors and for SEO too...
And if it's a blog then I think you should show the posts on the main page instead of that welcome page.

This is a website about games, movies and tech - why the hell would you sell clickbank or jvzoo crap? Review tech stuff , link to affiliate sites (amazon, walmart whatever). Movies- amazon prime, netflix. Games- not sure never play them, got no interest.

As Alfred said, if you want to make money from your site you really need to pick a niche. Once you've done that, I would invest in a premium Wordpress theme from a site like Themeforest.

Wordpress themes won't make sales - content will. That's like saying paint your shop nicely buy don't bother with stock.

Okay, thank you for the constructive feedback! As I it there are a few changes to be made:

    - Narrow down niche to one of topics my website should represent. This way the site will be more manageable and should attract a more targeted traffic, correct?

    - Change the red theme, any free wordpress themes that come to mind?

Regarding the affiliate choice, I feel that clickbank does not offer any good products when it comes to games for example. If this will be my main focus, which affiliate programs are valid?

You'll have to excuse my incompetence when it comes to the website and affiliate business, just started out and I fear I have been over-informed so to speak. Right now I'm just rolling blindly, so really need some help with this. Wanna get this organized, professional and trustworthy so that I have a chance at success at least. A to-do list would be perfect! If you have any real stories or experience with websites and affiliate marketing please do share!

    Thanks!

Yes, only choose one game, tech or movie. With one topic, you will be able to attract a targeted traffic and hopefully be able to retain them as returning traffic.

It would be crazy if some dog blog posted about cats right?

    - Change the red theme, any free wordpress themes that come to mind?
I'd suggest investing into a premium professional theme for long term. Eventually you want to have a great first impression to your readers for them to come back in the future.

I assume you want to write about the games category.
Maybe you can be reselling game time? Like for WoW or any other MMORPGs don't they have those monthly payments?

Don't focus too much on what product to sell yet. You don't have any audience to sell to!
At first focus on the content and make it a blog thats very valuable full of awesome content.
    Then choose to monetize it.
