Best Way to Find JVPs

Liz here. This is my first post. I have a really great product and I am looking for marketing partners to help me to push it out. What is the best way to find partners? Also, what is the best way to stop people from stealing the content and running off? I have had seemingly nice people rip me off badly in the past so I was wondering how to protect my idea / content before I start telling potential partners what the idea / content is. It seems like a catch 22.
