Copyright date on Allposters.com : what is it meaning and where to find it?

Hi all,

I would like to know what it is exactly the meaning of the copyright date for the art as stated here :

With all posters determining if an image is public domain it is quite easy as they display the copyright date for the art with art.com you need to be diligent.
For example, in the expiry date is 20 August 2014 and also after this last date is that mean I can use this art on the same site?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Booster

It sounds like to me that you can't copy it or use it til that date and even then you can only use it on that same site...

No - a copyright date does not indicate an "expiration date" at all.

You need to read that thread you link to again because you are missing much of the information that was in the thread.

All Posters only displays creation date for their Artwork posters , basically if you know when a work was created , you can determine it's copyright status .
