Here is what it says in the official Twitter instructions: Quote:
I am setting up a protected group on Twitter and would like to create some instructions whereby people can request to be in the group and I can then approve them. I know there is some way to do this, because without publicizing this group in any way, I racked up 54 requests from real people (some of whom I know slightly) who are waiting for my approval. Thank you! Marcia | |

| Hi Marcia, The answer is very easy. If your Twitter profile is protected and someone clicks to visit it They will get the message: This person has protected their updates. You need to send a request before you can start following this person. And there is a button marked "Send Request" Then you have to wait for them to reply whether or not you are approved before you can message them or view their profile. Hope this helps! |
