Help please!: Themed-niche authority site

I want to make a themed-niche authority site, but I am so confused, because when I have an idea about a certain niche I become so confused that it can be not themed or it's a Whole-Market Authority site or a Broad niche.

How do you guys really Determine the themed-niches ?

please guide me and give me some examples

      like mini-authority site Much like a single-topic site, but more open to additional related sub-niches, in which related themes can be brought into the structure.
      also can contain many "micro niches" that match a similar theme
      that's what I found but I didn't understand what it means :/
