Promote a DVD rendered in 4:3?

Hello Warriors,

I want to know if you would promote a DVD course that is rendered in 4:3 format.
I thought that rendering it in a high resolution would automatically mean that the video is in HD quality. (I'm a newbie and would not do this mistake / wrong planning again^^)
My product's weak spot: there are black bars on the left and right as you can imagine...

My designer really made a great job and the sales page does look topnotch!
And the course is the most comprehensive in the niche...

I want to be honest to my prospects and customers and do you recommend me to include an FAQ question like:
"In which format is the product delivered?"

==> The product is delivered in .... bla bla bla .... mp4 format (4:3), 8 GB , 8 hours in length.

In my opinion it really doesn't matter if it has a aspect ratio of 4:3. The most important thing is that when played everything on the screen is clear and easy to understand.

As for putting it in your FAQ's, you can if you wish. I doubt it will hurt anything. If anything you can say that it was done in 720P or 1080P... whatever the bitrate quality was.

Reformat the source files and re-render to 16:9.

The aspect ratio of the video is WAY, way down the spectrum of importance in terms of buying decisions.

Is it delivered on crystal-clear, high-quality video?

Is the program material easy to follow?

Does is deliver on the promised results?

==> good idea, I'll let them know that it is in 1080P

The black bars are the only weak spot.

    @travlinguy:
I am willing to do a product improvement in near future, though

As long as the content is good, I don't think anybody is going to be too bothered about the aspect ratio.

You could throw it in the FAQ but I don't really see the reason for it. There are still videos rendered in 4:3, especially when recording a specific window on screen rather than full screen. As long as the quality of the video is clear with good audio, most won't even notice the black bars on the sides.

If the actual content is weak, however, they will probably be quick to notice other faults in the product, such as the ratio, and blow it out of proportions
