What to do with a site

I have a site I am wondering what to do with. It is for a business I started about four years back. Even though the site itself doing ok with PR4 and top of Google with such terms as "manufacturing sourcing" and "China manufacturing sourcing" despite basically zero maintenance in the last few years, I have decided that the business model itself is simply not worth the time and trouble.

I have put some asense in on the bottom of the pages , but that only brings in a dollar or so a day. I was thinking of turning it into some kind of a wordpress blog and adding articles, but terms like "manufacturing sourcing" do not have very high search volumes.

So the question is there a way to make some money off of this? Do you think it is worth the trouble to try to turn it into some kind of a blog and going after advertising income?

It's a decent-looking site. How about having 10 blog articles outsourced and build around themes for alibaba.com, which has an affiliate program?

Advertising as a business model, sucks. Assuming most people visiting your site are businesspeople you could sell information on how to successfully do business in china with Chinese partners.

You can do an adsense preview on your site to see what kind of ads you get for what kind of businesses. That would give you an idea on what you can do to be profitable with the site.

All of these take time and effort but are massively more profitable than sticking adFail on your website..

I would suggest not turning the entire site into a blog instead placing a blog in a subdomain or subfolder of the site. yoursite.com/blog etc... Then adding a navigation link.

    Cheers

with a site and earn money at the same
