Does Amazon pay when the product is sold from another business ?

HI, Im starting my attempts at affiliate marketing and i have noticed on amazon not all the products are sold from them directly. Very often, products appear to be sold through separate businesses, using amazon as a selling stream.

Example 1)
Ships from and sold by Amazon ( standard)

Example 2
Ships from and sold by Good Luck xx. (made up name)

I am confused and have read the t&s on Amazon associates and its not clear to me.

If i promote a product dispatched and sold from xx would i still receive a referral fee from Amazon or is the referral fee only relevant to products sold directly from Amazon.

I know exactly what you mean. Have been selling on Amazon for awhile, and I still don't know exactly because I find the big products mainly from Amazon to sell, and I do have to say that you still do get a commission no matter what.

Pretty much as long as the product goes in their shopping cart from Amazon or third party you get the sale apart from a few products that Amazon does not pay commission on

You also don't get paid on the 'Products on other Websites' sponsored links if the visitor clicks on one of these they will be taken off Amazon and to an external website where the customer doesn't buy via Amazon's checkout.

So the rule of thumb generally is if they make the purchase through the amazon cart we get payed.

The exclusions link is what i was reading and to me that says, if the site is linked in from an external site and that order is fulfilled from company xx we don't get payed.

Ships from and sold by Good Luck xx. Let's say the order stays on amazon and the checkout process is done through amazon. We receive a referral still ? Even though its obvious the company are using amazon as a stream to sell a product and amazon do not stock this product directly?

Yes It will show up as a third party sale in your earning report as in the attachment
