Would you use an SEO app if I created it*

So I have been trying to find a free resource that will track your keywords over time, and I found micrositemasters.com which will allow you up to 10 keywords to track for free (google,b bing, and yahoo).

There is nothing like this on the android market - is there anything on the apple store market?

Additionally I want to have an app that you can see how many searches a particular query will get. When I'm on the go sometimes I think of an idea of and I'm curious how much volume it gets and the competition. Again on the android market, there is SEO cockpit, but after my trial ran out I quit. SEO cockpit was the only one on the market as well.

So there is nothing that tracks rank, and only 1 that gives you search volume - is there a market here for the app? I wanted to get some feedback before I start putting any money into developing this. I would have a website as well, but that's not really anything new.

Why is it that there are very few tools that show search volume? Is it difficult to get access to that data?

I think most people that want to track SEO metrics like keyword rankings over time, would prefer to use a PC/laptop/tablet. That's likely why the mobile app idea hasn't been done much yet.

It's sort of a PITA to do SEO work with a cell phone, IMO

Just for some more data...I run a fairly popular social media marketing service...only about 2-3% of our traffic is from mobile devices. Which tells me that people who do online marketing are typically sitting at their computers.
