Newbie can't count

INTERNET MARKETING

Hi everyone...Brand new and can't believe I walked into all this excitement with FB. I'm just starting to figure it all out and have a ton of ideas

I'm trying to figure something out and I don't know if this is the right place to ask. I hope so.

One thing missing is a text count...Can't tell when you reach the limit.

I've copied and pasted my text into a text editor to count the characters. I'm under the 1500 limit and it saves ok and previews ok but when I go to launch it it tells me I have too many characters.

Anyone know what the actual limit it?

I have 3 photos and links also.

I don't understand what you're trying to accomplish except for the fact you want to count characters.

I'm not sure I understand the question either, but it seems like the actual counting is not the problem - understanding the max number of allowed characters is the problem.

For that, I have no answer. Perhaps you can clarify the rest.

For instance, are you talking about the limit of characters you can use in a regular FB post? For that, I would imagine you could pretty easily just do some testing and figure it out on your own.

  I'm guessing that you aren't counting the characters in any formatting tags or links you're using. Don't just copy and paste the text itself into the character counter. Reveal the underlying code, copy, and paste that into the counter. That way, you'll be counting every character, not just the ones you see.

Are you wondering about publishing on Facebook? Just asking as you mentinoed Facebook in your original post. As for posting on Facebook, you should always write out your post on Text pad (free software on Windows PC) and then paste into your post box. This will ensure your post does not have any hidden tags or characters.

If you are referring to posting on the Warrior forum, I think you should have ample room to post as much as you want here. I have seen some posts that are more than a page in length.
