Hi there, I am releasing a info product soon and I am just planning my strategy. My plan is to send visitors to a pre-sell squeeze page, to capture their email addresses, before leading them to the a sales page. I don't really plan to give away a free ebook but more like, read my pre-sell and then "to find out more enter your name and email address". Is this a valid strategy, anyone have any comments? Or do I stick with a standard squeeze in return for ebook and then follow up with email. Cheers |

Doesn't need to be giving an ebook away, but you do have to incent your "cold" subscriber with something - a report, a video, a case study, a checklist, something that has tremendous benefit AND relates to your "ultimate" solution - your product. Jeff |

This is called a forced opt-in. If you don't do a phenomenal job with it your visitors will most shrug and leave. There is another strategy called a reverse-opt-in, done quite well by Eben Pagan using video tactics recently. A brief video introduces attractive information and tells the viewer a one-hour video with more juice is just an opt-in away. |
