Some Boot hitting my YT account, any ideas?

I get since a few days YT subscribers like flies on S...t and I'm sure that's not a natural thing.

I can't risk my channel and looked out if there is a way to stop this but you can't manage subscribers, at least I couldn't find any way to do so.

What's your take on this. Just leave it as is or is there a way to do some?

Thanks

G.

    Hey there,

How about sending a message to YouTube and telling them what you think is happening to your account.

Explain to them that you are experiencing a higher number of subscribers over the last few days and that you think a competitor is trying to damage your reputation with underhand tactics.

If what you think is happening is right then you'd probably end up with a ban eventually anyway so you may want to give it a shot.

You might have problems finding a contact email though, or maybe ask in the YouTube community forums and a knowledgeable member can help you out.

    Hope this helps.

That's my fear. I think if I push YT to check my channel they rather prefer to close it down in a sec than to check what's going on.

Who am I for YT? Nobody.

I thought that there is somewhere a managing tool to approve subs but I couldn't find one.

How many videos do you have?

Have any of them taken off? If so it may just be naturally occurring and you may be worrying for nothing. But if as you suspect it is happening then it really is only a matter of time.

Maybe upload a video directing your real subs to a new channel.

Explain to them what you think is happening.

It's my business channel, branded etc. have about 20 videos there, all tutorials.

Could be that a competitor send us spam subs.

It would really suck if that channel would go away but I maybe have to face reality and open another one.

    Many thanks for your input

I wouldn't worry about it now.

Are these subs real accounts? Have you investigated any of them?

I was just about to ask the same thing when I read your response. Are the subs coming from real/active accounts, such as accounts that are connected to Youtube users who actively subscribe to other channels and make regular comments? If the accounts are real, they are also likely active on Google+ (though some don't use that service). If not, the accounts might have been set up for the purpose of spamming with subs. Maybe there is a way to manually remove subs or report those accounts as being fake. Best to be proactive about this situation.

It's a mixed crowd. Some have a channel with only one video on it, others have more.

Some are from weird places, looks like Greek letters or some similar

One I'm talking about is this one here https://www.youtube.com/user/TuteexHoost

I have at some times 9 subs a day, what never happened before.

I can't delete subs, nor can we manage who can subscribe or that they need to verify the subscription.

Will let that go for a while and see if it get's worse, or better. Right now I have some like 1.5k subs what is not that much yet.

        Many thanks
