Need Advice for a Blog: Pinterest, Amazon etc.

So I've been building my blog and Pinterest account up to 40k followers. Not sure if I should go for the quality content route or go with setting up an Amazon store... Anybody has good success with Amazon and Pinterest?

Go the quality content route but ditch Amazon.

With 40k pinterest followers and a blog, you can make plenty with Adsense, presuming you have an account of course.

I don't think it should be an "either/or" scenario. You should only produce quality content and then you can monetize via Amazon...if that suits your needs.
Thanks for the replies. I'm seeing some sites where they are e-commerce stores and all products lead to Amazon when the buy button is clicked. They seem to be heavily marketed on Pinterest and I think they are probably getting good traffic and sales. Each product has like hundreds or thousands of repins. That is not such a good idea?

axus_auto, sounds like this issue is bugging you. Pick one, and see how it goes. If it were me, i'd go with the quality content route, and sell something... other than an amazon store. (my personal opinion). I just made a decision for you. Hope it doesn't confuse you or causes you to think about other possibilities. Just find something good to sell them, and make sure they still like your content.

split test a bunch of different things. Amazon, shareasale merchants, adsense, see what works best and then optimize.

What do you mean amazon store? As in sell amazon affiliate products? Why not as long as you aren't obnoxious you won't drive anyone away.

Thanks for the advice. I'll probably try the high-quality content route first and then if it doesn't work, try the e-store approach.
