It's like everything else in internet marketing: it's very profitable indeed for a very small proportion of the people who try to do it, slightly profitable for a few more, and not really profitable at all for the great majority (and overall, those groups are more or less accurately correlated with the extent of people's skills, too).

I can't help so much with that. Anything by Kevin Riley (who has done WSO's on product-creation) is going to be (at least) pretty good, even if some are slightly older now than "other stuff". Other than that, I don't know.

Usually information products consist of information that help people - hence the word "information" in the title

What can you create that provides "information" to help people?

To answer your question - yes, creating a product and selling that product with the help of affiliates (whether through ClickBank or any other platform) will always be a viable business strategy (profitable).

What do you mean, do information products make money?

Why do you think Amazon still sells non-fiction books?

There are many WSOs that can help you with product creation. If you want, I would recommend just trying to create your product on your own. Go to the search page here, go advanced search, type in "product creation", and make sure you are only looking in the "Warrior Special Offers" section. That should help you find a way to create quality products.

Is it profitable to create info products on CB? Of course it is, but not everybody makes a killing selling an eBook on losing weight. You need good salescopy, affiliates, and a good offer in a market that is going to make you money.

Yes it's very profitable if you set things up the right way. The right way would consist of:

        • Set a Launch Date to Keep You on schedule
        • Market research(What's selling and Who's Buying)
        • Building Relationships with potential JV's NOW...not later
        • Creating a Free or very low cost but VALUABLE Product For the Front-end
        • Creating Up-sells for the back-end(Can be 1, 2, 3 or more)
        • Mind-Mapping Your Sales Funnel
        • Designing a half decent product capture and sales page
        • Writing E-book and/or shooting videos for your front-end
        • Shoot video course for your first upsell and back-end
...and once everythings in place. Launch, and allow JV's and affiliates to drive you traffic and pay them well for it. You will build your list and collect some profit for yourself. I'm sure I missed a step or two, but that's the general outline. Hope it helps.

Information products sells well, take a look at WSO and see how most of the products there are selling like hot cake. So go ahead and produce your info product. Make sure you have lots of audience on that. Do your research first. Good luck.

How successful you are on click bank depends on:
    1) Which niche you pick
    2) How good your product is
    3) How good you are at getting affiliates and providing them with the best tools to promote your product.
    4) How good you are at building a list and giving them good content

Like anything if others are doing it successfully you can do it...

Remember there is a right and wrong way to do anything... I have sold a lot of info products my own and others, and Clickbank is a good solution if you sell lower priced stuff under $200 usually

I prefer to use my own merchant account and payment solutions, just because Clickbank can be kind of a hassle to list on, get approved and all that, plus I can charge up to $10,000 for something if I wanted without Clickbank dictating my business

You will want to sell it on your own, and recruit your own affiliates, and if you can get good conversions you can pick up some good affilaites, but you cant simply list it and hope to make some sales...

It all comes down to creating a great front end offer people want, upsells that make sense and good customer relationships.

I've launched over 24 products in the past 4 years, and have made a ton of money thru my own efforts and thru affiliates, so I actually know what I am talking about..

I see a couple answers that you can tell are from people just making up some ludicrous answer to sound cool

It is very profitable and very long term when done right, I have been successful online for almost 8 years now, so I'd consider that to be long term and stable...

As far as WSO's the people there make their money selling WSO's , not sure you'd find what your looking for in there

I think the real question is do you have any valuable information to share that people want? Producing products isn't hard. You open up a clean Word document and explain your strategy. Get it all down in a logical order. From there you can turn that into a course, a series of videos or a combination of the two.

But having information that people find valuable is just one part of the process. You have to be able to present it so others understand what you're teaching. I've bought material where it was evident the writer knew his stuff but he wasn't able to put that information out so people were able to use it. Part of that can be learned but learning to teach, which is one of the most important aspects of creating good or even great products, takes time.

The biggest mistake people make in creating products is assuming others already know certain things, stuff that the product creator, takes for granted. Good luck.

    1. Yes, of course it's profitable! But it all depends on what information you sell and how you package it. For long term income, you'll have to be prepared to move with the times because some information products evolve.

    2. The term "Information Products" covers a wide spectrum ranging from books to software, you need to narrow it down and start with one or two products that you'd like to create. Then look for a WSO, book or course that teaches you how to do that specific thing. Know your strengths and weaknesses, and if you're incapable outsource.

    3. CB is a reliable network and I recommend their services.

  • It can be profitable and thousands of people have done it successfully. The harsh blunt truth is for every one of those thousands there are hundreds that tried it and failed. It's not easy and there are 100 moving parts you have to work out. However if you learn and stick with it and have some luck, you can make it. Good luck.

First the way that you are going about it is all wrong ...
You can not go into the info business with the goal to just make money ,you have to be looking to help people and give value first..

So what I do before I create a product is think what would be helpful that I could help people with that are searching for that do not know where to find their answer ..

I create my product around this but not a single product 3 to 4 products that will go together and feed off each other that go hand and hand that my intended market would find very valuable .

The more that you help others the more it comes back to you in return.

Build your business around helping others first and foremost and you will cash in big for a long time to come..

Best of luck and do not be afraid to fail ..

    Failure is prerequisite for success.

In order to become good at creating and marketing information products, you need to learn the following:

    1. How to mine markets and find hot topics that people will pay to get answers, help, an advantage, etc...
    2. To quickly research a market and figure out a product strategy to tackle that market - typically involves some low-end, very targeted products as well as more involved back-end products for those who want the whole enchilada
    3. To actually create the product (writing, video creation, course creation, software, etc...)
    4. To put together an operational set of web pages that will include sales page, opt-in page, thank you pages, follow up email sequences, as well as blogs, social accounts, etc...
    5. Copywriting...learn to sell through your sales pages, email sequences (writing and/or video)
    6. Launch process from initial beta testing and securing testimonials through more advanced partner/affiliate acquisition and sales funnel building

As you can see, there are many aspects to operating an infoproduct business effectively (it's no wonder that so many people struggle). Also worth noting that, other than the product creation itself, the other steps are critical to running ANY business online.

    Hope that helps,

    Jeff

Thanks all for the response. Is there any specific course that can teach me the basics for all of this? I'd rather go through a course instead of learning everything from trail and error. If any of you can recommend any courses I would appreciate it!! Thanks!
