How to charge for webinars

I'm planning a webinar that I will be charging for and getting stuck in figuring out what tools to use. I'm looking at gotomeeting/webinar and meetingburner. But how do I integrate with a payment system such as paypal? I also will need to pay affiliates. Thanks for any help on which tools to look at.

I feel like you are trying to get customers to buy the webinar and having affiliates promote it, so a maybe selling it the webinar as a product is better than strictly trying to sell the webinar on its own.

Well actually I'll be recording it and will edit it so it will be a product. But for now it's a live webinar that I will be selling at a discount.

What value are you offering in return?

There will be three group classes plus a 1 on 1 consult for the early birds. I'm also considering a bonus 4th class that will be strictly Q & A.

In the interest in paying it forward - I will report on my experience of meetingburner - I used a paid version. There are older posts on this forum saying the free version of meetingburner didn't work for them. Sadly this appears to still be true: meetingburner does not work well with Macs - it seems ok with PCs.

Perhaps you are over thinking this.

Sell the webinar ahead of time and only email people who have paid the link to the webinar.

There is a chance it will get shared out, but if you don't email the link until an hour or two before the webinar, the risk is fairly low.

    Just a thought...

Sell the webinar as a product and make people subscribe to the list to be emailed when the webinar will go live, and then send them the video recording of the webinar.

In this way you can set up some strategies to make them share the webinar.

Maybe you can set up something like a Social locker plugin that show the people the Promo code after they share to receive the free video of the webinar, or receive other material, like the slides etc...

In this way you duplicate your audience and improve the sells.

    Kab,

What I would personally recommend you to do it to give the webinar to free and use it to promote a product or service to that people that attend.

This way you are going to capture more emails for your list, have more possible customers and more sales.

Then you can sell the recorded webinar to those who missed it with your links to your products or services to create a passive income stream.

Then you just need to drive traffic to the webinar replay.

    Hope this helps,
