How can I give a discount through clickbank?

Hi,

I'm marketing a digital product through clickbank that is pretty expensive.
When I looked for reviews on-line about this product before offering that to my followers, I saw that clickbank affiliates give 50% off for this product.
The link they provided went straight to the order form.

Any idea how I can get a discount link with my affiliate name under it?

    You can't - it's expressly contrary to ClickBank's terms of service to do so.

    You can give incentives (such as another, free product), if you really want to (it's not something I'd want to do, myself, though I know some affiliates do, and successfully), but not discounts. The retail price is the retail price.

    Please notify ClickBank of that, with the appropriate url's: they'll do something about it, if it's exactly as you say (though I don't quite see how that would work, anyway, to be honest). If they're offering some kind of "cashback" arrangement, that certainly isn't allowed.

    No, you can't. But - perhaps more to the point, and more helpful to discuss - would you really want to? Competing on price - especially with something like ClickBank-type informational products which are typically sold on a "trust-based, strength-of-the-recommendation basis" - isn't a great long-term business strategy. To put it mildly. As a ClickBank affiliate, it will help you to be aware that in successful affiliate marketing, most of the long-term income comes from making repeated sales to the same captive audience who buy from people they know and trust, not from "people with lower prices". Just an observation, but rather a realistic one.

      Alexa is referring to YOU giving the discount. Which you cannot.

      However if the vendor has set up a product at 50% off their normal price then you can promote the 50% lowered price product. Which it sounds like what this vendor is doing since the discounted link goes directly to the order form.

      The affiliates you see are then promoting the lower priced product.

      Contact the vendor directly. That vendor will likely have a discounted link you can use that is selling the product at a lower price.

        Thanks very much, Miles. That sounds a much better shot than mine, given that the OP said he saw affiliates giving 50% off.
