I ran across blinkweb today and have been playing with the free version. What are your thoughts or experiences?

I ask because I tried to publish and I see now that I have to pick to buy a domain or use a subdomain.blinkweb.com (which shows a blinkweb advert) or buy download access to my created page.

I clicked to buy a domain - they are offering $1 for first month (including hosting) then $14.95 for hosting each month thereafter. They note that you can add additional domains for $1 per month after initial purchase.

That's $12 a year for a name, not much more than godaddy (but spaced out over a year) and they say you can add unlimited domains on the 14.95 hosting.

Questions are: what kind of hosting do they offer i.e. company, reliability, etc.

Not sure if better to buy at godaddy, host there (already have acct) and use xsitepro2 (which i have already) in place of blinkweb?

Well, I pay $9.95 now for Godaddy's unlimited hosting so 14.95 isn't a stretch. I do wonder about the quality of it.

I played more with xsitepro2 last night after posting and realized that I can do almost anything with it I can do with blink.

    Thanks for your reply.

To tell you the truth you are probably better off going with host gator its only $8.95 a month and the best then just transfer your domian. Blink web is pretty good and easy to use but not sure of their hosting also I like weebly just as good.

I have not tried xsite yet how is it heard it was good?

xsitepro is great. I've been working with it overnight and this morning and forgot how good it was. Blinkweb is pretty basic, the draw is $1 a month domains and easy publishing (click and save), but xsite pro lets you enter your ftp info and once its set up you can just hit publish and its done. I use godaddy and each site has its own folder and xsite picks which folder to publish to so it is working well. I use getresponse and both integrate.

xsitepro has many more features now that i've dug into it for the last few hours.

        Check it out - xsitepro2

Can host gator do cold fusion sites? I am thinking about consolidating all of my stuff to 1 host gator account, but my plaquemaster site is done in cold fusion, and I know that there aren't a lot of companies that support it.

I haven't actually used blinkweb myself since I have a resellers account with hostgator but I do know that Gil Ortega uses blinkweb all the time. I have been seeing a lot more "gurus" using it also.
