Hello everyone,

I'm currently using squarespace to build my website. I find it great in ever aspect. Does anyone know which theme would be ideal for building a affiliate store? The website is sole based on selling products as a affiliate. I want a set up sort of similar to thisiswhyimbroke.com. Not exactly like that, but similar in structure. I'm new in website building any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!

If you find a site you like and want to replicate it in a similar way do two things

    1. run the domain through BuiltWith Technology Lookup

    2. if its on wordpress as your example site above is then use the tool here:

What WordPress Theme Is That WordPress Theme Detective

that site will tell you the wordpress theme the site uses as well as the plugins it uses.

You can either purchase the same theme and plugins or have some wordpress programmer create a site similar for you.

    I would drop squarespace tough.

GMan9, those are two great resources! Thank you. Now if only someone here knows how to locate the originating or root site for a dozen affiliate sites I have seen you would be my guru on this subject.

The hosting at wordpress.com is not available for anything commercial/monetized at all (that would contravene their terms of service).

The people advising you to use WordPress are referring to self-hosted WordPress. Its origin is wordpress.org (but many hosts have it already available through their own hosting management panels, sometimes as a one-click installation. Note, though, that isn't a very safe/secure/hackproof way of installing WordPress).

Consider using WordPress instead of Squarespace. It's more flexible and comes with thousands of themes. WordPress is perfect for affiliate sites and can be easily used even by newbies.

So I'm using wordpress. I need a theme that is similar in structure to thisiswhyimbroke.com. I searched google and I found webicator. But my website has a different purpose. I just need the same structure such as the images and small texts underneath without the pricing functions underneath as I will not be an affiliate or selling anything. Does anyone know a theme that has a similar structure as thisiswhyimbroke.com in the way the images and texts are used. Thanks!
