weather and marketing

does anyone follow the weather to improve the marketing ? nowadays it seems that lot of companies use and consult annual forecast websites like sunpreview.com (a free reference !) to enhance their marketing for all the year. I know that big companies like coca-cola, costco, walmart, and also wall street use it, but I don't know for a tiny personnal internet market. any example ?

    I have targeted people based on weather.

    I'm sure there is a more "automatic" way to do it...but I had ads for different locations - and first thing in the morning, I would check the weather forecasts...and if it was raining/sunny/cold/etc - I would flip the campaign on.
