Hello everyone,

I am looking to acquire a bit of passive income, add I figured eBooks would be the way to do it. But I have a few questions:

-Is it reliable to get a custom cover on Fiverr for 5$?
-Are short, cheap eBooks reliable or they will just stay there, not being sold?
-What are the topics selling the most?
-How long after release can results be expect?

I think these are all I can remember right now. Also, if anyone has any tips or suggestions I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

If you are looking for professional high quality I would not go for Fiverr

-Are short, cheap eBooks reliable or they will just stay there, not being sold?
It really depends on the content of the eBook

-What are the topics selling the most?
You can easily go to Amazon and check the top selling eBooks and what are trending to see the latest trends.

-How long after release can results be expect?
This is an impossible question to answer as it is different from everyone. because of the way you work and how you work.

create a solid plan for yourself and stick to it.

My opinion is that you can find some quality providers who can make nice e-book covers, beside if you wanna find a real professional one maybe it will cost you $10-$15 on Fiverr. If your budget is low then first I would go with fiverr and as you get more experience and sales I would go for something more expensive.

-Are short, cheap eBooks reliable or they will just stay there, not being sold?
if its a step by step approach highlighted in the book, it can be great! Beside some of the short e-books are just reports or PLR-s.

-What are the topics selling the most?
Amazon, ebay and also affiliate sites can be a good guidence for you.

-How long after release can results be expect?
If I were you I would look for a book on that topic how to market e-books and other products.

    Good luck!

I put up just four 5,000-10,000 word books, on these dates:
    July 20th
    July 27th
    Aug 9th
    Aug 16th

I used Fiverr and a $5 bill for the covers, so I have $20 invested.

Red are sales... Blue are 'loans' - which pay as well...

    Does this answer your question?

    Here's my results:

Fiverr is hit or miss, ask a Warrior for a referral, you might get lucky.

Don't create short CHEAP ebooks...instead create short, pithy INFORMATION products which may be low cost or not. I paid 500 dollars for 5 pages of INFO.

I have also sold thousands of HOTSHEETS for 2 bux each (a HOTSHEET is a one page information piece).

There are EVERGREEN subjects, which reflect life's journey from Cradle to Casket...kids, health, money, RELATIONSHIPS, environment, etc. etc.

Might be better to create from your past experiences.

HOW long? Depends on Market. Got time for a quick story?

In April a Warrior contacted me for help. I showed him how to do it. I wrote a report, sold it ONLY in June, and then, only by using my sig file as the promotion for it...made a 1000 bux in june. Yea, I'm a more established Warrior, but, IT happens as fast as you make it happen.. Worst advice you can take from WF is

    it takes time.

NO it doesn't It takes effort. Smart and leveraged effort.

    good luck

I'm going to employ your hotsheet idea as it seems very doable and something that could generate passive income. And, who doesn't want more of that?

As for what you said about it not taking time, but effort, that's true. Only people who say it takes time are just using the wrong marketing methods and assume that given more time they will earn. That's not always true if there is no ready market for what is being sold or the people who would buy the product are not being marketed to correctly.

Be sure to spend your time on finding urgent, pressing demand for topic, ideally in a market you are at least interested in learning or researching so that you can help outline and even write your ebook.

I've sold ebooks from 20-pages to 240 pages with several in between.

The difference in paying someone $5-$10 on Fiverr versus $49 who does a more professional job is really a no-brainer for me - you make it back in your first couple of sales.

This is especially important if your distribution path is a store-front such as Amazon or if you leverage a large affiliate network who will market your ebook by placing images on their blogs, in their emails or on their websites

I've personally had better success with graphics here on the Warrior Forum in the Warrior For Hire section...

I've noticed that many of the better Fiverr gigs had really long turnaround times unless you are willing to pay more than $5. I feel like there is a ton of value building a relationship with a couple of high quality vendors.

Regarding short ebooks... tons of money to be made if you're solving big problems, saving people time, making them money, giving them what they're looking for.

Amazon Best Sellers is a good starting point... Look at other information marketplaces as well... JVZoo, Clickbank, the bookstore, magazine racks, etc.
