Plugin for limit the number of visits

Is there any wordpress plugin that can limit the number of visits of a visitor from the same IP?

For example i want every visitor(unique IP) to be able to visit the site only 10 times. After those 10 visits, redirect to google.

Can someone tell me what plugin should I use? Or is there any manual option to do that?

Thanks

PS: If I made the post in wrong section please move it. Thanks

Hmm... 'My Click Boss' could do that. I'm guessing that 'Quality Click Control' could do it as well. What you're looking for is a serial 'rotator' plugin that tracks by IP & cookie... and sends a visitor to a series of places one by one... then stops (and goes to the default)

But those are paid options. I don't know of anything free that would do what you want.

Even the paid options would work through a link...

I want to redirect a visitor after each 10 visits(per IP) per day. Why? Because I receive a lot of fake traffic/bots/spam/whatever and I have problems with my hosting.

You may be able to do this via your cpanel, not 100% sure, but your host may be able to advise you better. Who are you hosting with?

There are easier ways to do what you want. You really don't want to redirect EVERY visitor after 10 visits- only the bots and fakes.

You can block many bots with your robots.txt file

Many fake 'spam' bots come from specific countries (Russia/China). You can block traffic from countries you think may be sending a lot of fake traffic.

Look for infomation about securing against a denial of service (DoS) attack with your host. Many recommandations to protect against a DoS attack will also work with the kind of traffic you want to stop.

Also may ISPs use dynamic IPs so you could have a new user coming to your site for the first time but your site sees the IP is visiting for the 11th time and blocks it. Same with connecting from a WiFi spot like a coffee shop.

"For example i want every visitor(unique IP) to be able to visit the site only 10 times. After those 10 visits, redirect to google."

I would probably be careful here. You probably don't want to block search engines inadvertently, for example, and you would probably actually affect some legitimate visitors to your site.

"Many fake 'spam' bots come from specific countries (Russia/China). You can block traffic from countries you think may be sending a lot of fake traffic."

This is a good suggestion as well. If you don't want or need traffic from those countries, then it should help lighten that load a great deal.
