Best Mentor/Coach for a Noob?

Hello again Warriors

I've been reading these Forums the last few days and keep seeing post recommending Mentors and Coaches as an investment for beginners. I was wondering if anyone could recommend the best (if there is such a thing) and maybe give me an idea on price.

About me

I'm looking to start with Amazon niche sites and free traffic (haven't started yet) and then once i've developed my skills and feel comfortable with that, moving onto paid traffic and Clickbank and perhaps something else.

Thanks for any help

I would start reading various articles and tutorials in what you're looking to do - Amazon affiliates.

When you find someone or some tactic that really resonates with you - reach out to that person.

I'm sure you'll get some good recommendations, ishimoo. I'm in support of coaching and you've selected a good area to begin your education. What I would advise is this: research your area of interest more thoroughly before deciding on a coach. It may turn out that many of your questions can be answered for free; equally, you may decide that Amazon affiliate sites are not for you, and perhaps coaching money can be spent better elsewhere. Scattered all around the 'net are many fine guides on the subject of Amazon affiliate sites.

You got to be careful when posting these kinds of threads. This thread screams "IM NOOB! PITCH ME A COACHING PROGRAM!"

What I really recommend is dig a little more deeper. Research on the coaches regarding your chosen niche and when you do that you got to remember that these coach will do everything in their power to close the deal.

That means when inquiring for a coach, there is a chance that you will be misled. People will promise you something even if they can't give it to you and they will take your money.

They will use every tactic they know to close the deal such as High Pressure tactics etc.

Don't fell for these craps! That's why I recommend you try doing everything for yourself first. do your research and while doing that you will discover which part of your business you need help.

While working on that certain niche, you will meet like minded people and through that you can meet the authorities on that niche. This is the best way to find a coach that will really benefit you. Because you know what you want and you already know them.

This is really excellent advice, ishimoo. I strongly suggest this is the approach you take.

Honestly your approach can take you m-o-n-t-h-s to see any benefit. I just recommended to someone else in another post on WF to get a coach / mentor. I am recommending that to you as well. Follow the coaches' directions and take ACTION.

If your desire is to get into physical products rather than digital, (there is absolutely nothing wrong with that), then get a coach / mentor that has had significant success in that area. People like Jim Cockrum.

If you choose to develop Niche sites, people like Adam Short ... and so on.

One thing is for certain though: What ever you get into, build a list!! I can't stress this enough. Take a course in List Building and act on it.

Heck, there is a response here from Brent that may even spark your interest. Send him a PM and see what he could offer.

Hope the above rant provides you with a direction.

If you want to really go for coaching i suggest Chris Farrell Membership for sure or Wealthy Affiliates, perfect for Noob! Here is a WF post about this two. http://www.warriorforum.com/internet...embership.html

For a newbie definately Wealthy Affiliates or Chris Farrell. You'll get al the mentoring you need most cost effectively. When I was looking for a mentor, I was being quoted extraordinary prices. Then I discovered Wealthy Affiliates and Chris Farrell. They've saved me a bundle.

I will throw one out at you. Eric Louviere .

He is very, very credible. And has so much experience in IM .

      He is really a genius.

Of course, I would also take advice what others are saying in here and do some thorough research on your Niche. You may not need personal coaching

I know Eric has some wonderful extraordinarily affordable products that are , in my mind, essentially as good as personal coaching. At a fraction of the cost

Great thread. I have been drinking from this fire hose of info called the WF for several months now and I have learned a ton. I actually feel very comfortable actually implementing the marketing plan but am so confounded by choosing the best idea to go after that my heads going to explode.

I have done some of the online training programs but really wish I could just find a quality mentor/coach that could walk through my current list of 8-9 ideas to help me focus. Pretty common theme I hear on the WF regarding newbies is learn, learn, learn from these forums and jump in. Problem is I think for newbies or at least in this newbies case a mentor/coach could really help me with focusing. That and I don't feel qualified to choose the best idea of those I have come up with. I could be wrong but I would think a mentor/coach could quickly tell me which ideas are worthless. To that point I wish there was a sub-forum just on coaching/mentoring so there was more informed access to coaches. I have had a heck of a time trying to identify one on my own. Thanks for letting me rant and agreed this place is a wonderful resource.

Stop reading and find out what their actually doing. Hint: sign up to their list and you will see 80 to 90% of what are they really actually doing.

People tends to advice you to do this and do that but actually not implementing it by themselves.

I'd prefer an affiliate based forum such as aff playbook or stack that money. In saying that, I've never tried one on one coaching but can definitely see the benefit in it! I can't see coaches giving you all the tricks of the trade though...

Ishimoo, there is so much free advice available, there's no reason to get a coach until you've learned all the basics on your own.

The blogs and podcasts from Pat Flynn at SmartPassiveIncome.com will get you up and running quickly. There's a huge amount of helpful advice and it's presented well. I went from knowing nothing about online business, to having a fairly profitable niche site, in about 3 months of soaking up Pat's podcasts.

    Good luck!

(I'm not affiliated with Pat in any way - I'm just grateful for everything he's taught me :-)

It is free and it is works. Sure you need to make some adjustment but the basics are still the same. Good luck.

You can find all the couch or the best couch in the warrior forum or out there. But the most important is yourself. Couches usually already success in what they did, but its depend on how hard you work and willing to invest.

90% factors on yourself and 10% on couch.

    Just my 2 cents.

There is no reason to spend any money for coaching when you first start.

There are plenty of places to get excellent advice without spending anything.

You Tube videos will tell you everything any coach or mentor would and it is free.

Just type in what you want to know and you can spend days watching good free information.

Look for Facebook groups that are involved in the same things you want to know.

Even though some will be private or closed there are many that will allow you to join.

By the time you have a basic understanding of your subject (this should only take a couple weeks if you are serious) you will have met enough people that you can find a mentor that will fill in the gaps for you and point you in the right direction.

If you are serous there are many who will help you for little or no cost when you prove yourself to be reliable and trustworthy.

Be very careful of paid membership sites. Their main reason for existence is always to make money first. There will be very little to learn in most cases without spending for an upsell.

Only spend money when you know enough about your subject or niche to know what you specifically want to learn and only select someone who charges a sensible and reasonable price. Spending more is not going to get you any better results.

Take this advice. Seriously. You'll have a great many coaches and e-book sellers who disagree, and although I'm a strong advocate of education, if 20 years in the business has taught me anything, it's this: educate yourself for free, learn the good sources of information from the bad, and then if the information you need absolutely does not exist outside of paying for it, reach for the PayPal button.

  • I use to sell coaching till about 2 years ago, some people made it some failed, the ones I coached that did the best are the ones I had a good connection. My advice is find someone you like and feel good working with, listen to them and ask how you feel about them, if there is a connection hire them if not move to the next one. That's my advice.

I find it really IRONIC when posters respond to these coaching
questions by saying, "You don't need a coach just use the WF".

Well, on the WF you can get advice by asking questions and
that's the very thing a coach does! So you can either get coaching
from the WF or from another source. They are both coaching
avenues, one a lot more effective than the other.

So it's not a matter of NOT needing a coach but which one you
    are going to use.
