No credit card

I'm trying to help someone set up their online business (internet marketing) but they are not able to get a credit card (not sure why).

Is there any way this is going to work? I mean how will they pay for hosting, autoresponders, etc? They are in Canada.

Anyone got any advice?

If they have a paypal account, they can purchase almost anything online...

If they really need a credit card number, they can use the paypal debit card, which you can apply for with paypal.

I use PAYPAL all the time to pay for almost every online purchase, so not having a credit card won't be a problem for them

I am sure that there are pre-paid cards available - even in Canada!

Try getting an Aweber or Getresponse account - its a no go with Paypal.

Everybody (well almost) is able to get a debit card.

When everything fails, they can sell one of their products/services through Plimus/2Checkout and get a reloadable debit card with those funds.

PayPal can issue debit cards, and I used mine to pay for my GetResponse PRO account last week.

As long as they have a Paypal account, they should be able to whip up virtual credit cards with the Paypal plugin.

There are several prepaid credit card options avaiable to be had in Canada. Visa and Mastercard being 2 of them. I know this for a fact since That was a route I had to take once. Tell whoever your dealing with to use them wisely and never miss a payment and their credit rating will improve and eventually they should be able to get the real thing.

Has the situation with PayPal debit-cards changed, then? The last time I looked (which was admittedly a long time ago) I think they were available only to US-residents, not Canada and not the UK.

I'm told that prepaid credit-cards without credit-checks and without needing a bank account are available in Canada. I think all that's needed for them is a passport and an address.
