Olympic Athlete looking into IM

So ive competed in international track and field for the past 8 years. I have competed in 2 Olympic Games (Beijing and London), and several World Championships. I am now 30 and retired (seriously considering), and am looking to get into internet marketing.

Track and Field does not have many sources for coaches and athletes, its pretty much every man for himself. For that reason i feel it would be a pretty good niche, seeing as i have tons of life experience and its pretty much untouched.

I would like to start a website, a youtube channel, and maybe even write an ebook. But i have no clue where to start. Ive learned a LOT over the years and im sure i could make tons of money if i set things up properly, so where do i start?

If you were me, where would you start? What introductory books should i read? What online tutorials would you suggest?

Apologize if this thread is in the wrong place.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Apparently that's the secret to being "So Successful!"

OP, learn list building. Sales funnels are the foundation of pretty much every Internet business.

When the "what would you do different" threads get posted, the most common answer is: "Start building a list from the start."

You've a great opportunity ahead of you just playing on your amazing achievememts to date.

Without knowing too much about what you're trying to promote i would think a kindl ebook would be a great way to drive traffic to a websitr, create a list and open up a back end.

With what you have done it will be easy to establish you as an authority figure in your market.

Biggest piece of advice is that when you start there is room for a lot of pr work and free publicity to drive traffic and sales. I would look to get you on talk sport and beeb. Tons of ideas, good luck with it and if you have any questions feel free to pm.

    All the best

      You've already completed step one.
You've come to the Warrior Forum. Read through the goldmine of threads it contains. It's like the Harvard of Internet Marketing. But your professors come from working in the trenches not the classroom.

      You've completed step 2 -
You've started asking questions, keep doing that.

      Now step 3
Is to join the War Room and take advantage of all the free information that's available.

      Step 4
Is to zero in on a niche in your chosen field that no one else is a filling or filling as well as you could.

If you approach this endeavor like your Olympic training, you'll smoke the competition.

That is awesome. What country did you represent? If you want to keep that private I understand.

Personally I'd start with registering a domain. Spend your time and find a good one. Search auctions and expired domains -- it's like panning for gold, but you can find something.

Then I would make a simple website. Use that as your home base for all other endeavors.

Do you know how to make a website and get it hosted? Do you like to learn technical stuff?
