JV that got me freaking hopping mad and sleepless

Pardon my rant here fellow warriors. It's 6.18am over here in singapore. I tried to sleep but subconsciously i believe i was fuming mad and hence just kept waking up.

A particular contact person for a leading self improvement network contacted with regards to a cross mailng in May. Whereby I replied that i was more open to an adswap without affiliate links.

Talks progressed and the person agreed. Of which i then passed over the adswap emailer in early june. Due to booked slots, we could only do the adswap on 1st july. (today)

1 day ago that I got their adswap emailer which needed me to input an affiliate link while pushing the free offer. There was no time and I scheduled in the adswap into my broadcast.

July 1st 10am EST (adswap timing) came and emailer was done for my product when i checked at 3pm EST. Contacted the person and the person said that my emailer adswap copy did not include a CB affiliate link. Hence they could not mail out for me.

So now that i mailed for them. They are telling me they'll email for me on friday once i provide them with an affiliate link.

Tuesday is a prime promotion slot. Friday is well....friday.

What the...

1) It was agreed initially it'd be an adswap without affiliate links.
2) Their adswap emailer came in on 30th June, and because of the time difference of 12 hours. There was no way for me to verify why I needed to include an affiliate link to mail out for them.
3) They had almost a month to check my email adswap copy.
4) If they had told me earlier they still wanted a CB affiliate link, i could have set it up such with time.

Morale of the story, when dealing with JVs. Be careful, sometimes for bigger companies. The person dealing with you might not exactly know IM talk. And hence s**** you up big time with rubbish like this.

I believe that study show that Tuesday gets much better open rates than Friday. I know aweber had some stats on their blog that you might be able to find about different days and times of mailings.

Like what someone else mentioned. Tuesday generally has better open rates. Avoids monday blues too.

While for friday emails, results can vary.
