All niches are profitable for some marketers and not profitable for others. There's no objective quality of niches called "profitability".

Some are certainly more competitive than others. Whether or not that's of any relevance to any individual marketer depends mostly on that individual marketer's traffic-generation plan.

Four of the five examples you've mentioned (under four headings) are not niches at all: they're markets, and huge ones, each containing a very large number of niches. (I think "website building" might just about be a niche, albeit rather a broad one).

(Surely you appreciate that reviews are a marketing method, rather than being a "niche"?!).

In general, it's possible that this post (and four others linked to, inside it) might help you - if only to reorient your thinking on this subject a little: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post8561081

        They're not niches. They're markets.

There isn't one that's "good", or "bad". They're all "good" for some people and "bad" for other people. It's about the people, not about the niches/markets.

Personal development isn't a "niche". It's much too big to be a "niche". It's a "market". It's huge. It contains hundreds of "niches". You need a smaller/better-defined/better-targeted subject than "personal development".

I hope that reading the post I linked to above may help you.

    The two that leap out to me that are hugely competitive are;
    Personal development market
    & Make money market

The website builder market is separate to the MMM, more technology related.

Please note I used the term market these are big markets they are not niches.
To find a niche you'll need to do more research to see if there are any subniches that are not so competitive but with some hungry buyers and lower competition.

Getting back to the above markets you've mentioned..
I'm told that there are opportunities in the Faiths market if you are interested in serving it.
I think there are definatly opportunities in the Personal development market but a lot more research would be needed to find something worth your time & expense.

I'm not sure why you've put Reviews as a market? That's a service you provide it can cover a variety of markets upon the style of review that's needed and requested.

Hope that makes things a little clearer.

P.s it sounds as though you need to learn more about researching for a niche/s before you proceed any further and spend money and time setting up a website or blog or what it is you have in mind.

Thank you. I have a blog that I no longer update that is www.gridchat.net . what do you think about it, about the articles there. Do you think it can grow if I keep on working on it by providing such articles?

      Honestly I don't; I'm sorry.

I think the blog has no targeting or sense of direction at all, and your English is nowhere near good enough to be blogging without having everything re-written/edited (not just "proofread": it needs a lot more than that), and I think that's probably not really viable for you?

I mean this helpfully, but I really don't think blogging/writing in English is a suitable aspect of internet marketing for you.

But are you aware that South African English and American English are not the same?

I appreciate your opinions. Thanks for your help. Do you think having a static website can be a good idea? It seems it doesn't need more writing like blog. I will try to follow your suggestions. I want to start an online business. Maybe affiliate marketing? I need help.

Most affiliate marketing is intrinsically an "email marketing" business: you have to build lists and communicate effectively with subscribers. The value to them of your emails determines the degree of trust and credibility you have with them, and that effectively determines your income. Again, you need real writing skills, for this.

I'm wondering if CPA marketing (which doesn't necessarily require list-building) might be more suitable for you - but it's not my area at all. Ad Networks (CPM/CPL, Display, SEM)

Since you asked for feedback on your blog, I will offer a few tips that hopefully will help you out.

      1. Your blog excerts on the home page are broken. Anyone looking at your blog can't really see what the blog post is going to be about and will have no incentive to click through to read the blog,.

      2. Please get rid of the tacky ad banner at the top of the page from that Adclick company. I am positive you are not earning much from that banner, so why even have it there?

      3. Invest in a good logo for your blog (even a $5.00 Fiverr logo is better than what's there now as it doesn't match nor does it contain your site's name, GridChat).

      4. You mentioned how self development is your passion, so focus on that.

However, you will need to pick a subniche you are passionate about.

I would suggest removing all the current content and starting over. The blog likely has some traffic so that's a place to start but you will need new content all focused on one central unified theme.

Focus on just one thing, such as relationship help: recovering from grief after a divorce or death; how to deal with loneliness.

Or, combine two things you love talking about, self help and religion to create a site about, 'How to raise a spiritually aware child'. Or, 'How to celebrate holidays in a spiritually diverse/multi-faith family'.

The more defined your blog theme, the better. Don't try to be a catch all site or you will lose your relevant edge.

And get rid of any business or Facebook related articles on your blog as those don't belong in the self help niche anyway.

      5. Clean up your tags so they are more descriptive and relevant to your site content. Rather than simply having 'youths' as a tag, create a tag for 'Troubled children' 'Toddler Tantrums' or 'Divorce grief'. These are just examples and you should only use a tag that is relevant and true of your content.

      6. Take out the bold words on the page. I'm not sure if you added bold face to your words for SEO purposes, but I doubt that a reader will want to see a bold word every few sentences.

    Probably the religious niche.

I heard the bible has sold much more copies than any other fiction book on earth.

You can even start a new religion these days and get celebs to hand over x% of their income and all you have to do is give them a red bracelet or convince them aliens are sleeping inside the core of the earth.

There are also lots of sub-niches like 'bomb making for dummies', 'how to date virgins', and 'how to get pregnant without having sex'.

You should go with the one that interests you more. I did not check, but I think religion is the easiest from your list.

Sorry sir, but you're asking the wrong question to get the right answer. Your question should be ... "What niche between the four can 'You' make the most profitable?"

    Because they're all massively competitive.

    So, ask yourself ...

    1. Which can you contribute the most to based on talent, experience, education, passion etc.

    2. Which can you work the hardest and most passionately in and enjoy the process before seeing results.

    3. Which can you research the longest so you can position yourself in the right niche. (As others have stated those 4 categories are markets not niches) This is a Niche

    4. How hard are you willing to work to sharpen your communication, selling and marketing skills to find and serve your potential buyers.

When you can address, answer and solve those 4 questions your competition question won't matter much. By then you'll be the hunter ... instead of the hunted.

In my opinion all of those niches/markets would be profitable.

Remember that if you are serious about making money with a particular market that you are going to be focusing on it around the clock until you get really well established.

So if it's something that you think you'll be able to stick with that's good. If it's something you have a personal passion for even better.

That said, don't be afraid to go after something that is totally new to you. Countless people in IM have had to immerse themselves in brand new subjects they have never even thought of before. With a little time and research you can quickly become someone your average person will come to think of as a expert on the subject.

we are in three you mention.

Our favourite niches are always wee wee enlargement for males, forex, stocks, health, weightloss and diets. Over the years these have made alot of money for us, and also the relationship niches. these sorts of evergreen ones are killer, just killer.
