I have been using Viral Inviter and saw that he is going to release a pro version with some nice features including twitter addition. Now as it says, the VI is going to send direct msges to twitter followers instead of retweets, which I feel is very powerful and great feature.. However do you think Twitter would ban your server IP if there are many visitors on your site sending direct msges from your server? eg. 10k visitors and 500 followers each would be 5million direct msgs I did contact at their helpdesk 3 days back but no reply yet.. I did post a comment on his blog but its not moderated yet... (not sure why) So I put this question here cause they have just 24hrs to upgrade for existing customers. I hope someone can help me make the decision. |

there are other services like this (for example socialtwist). They haven't been banned.

Also, I believe the offer is for a free upgrade during the next 24 hours. If you are already a customer, you can't loose by taking Norman up on this offer. |

I am sure that he will make all necessary adjustments to drip-feed DM's if need be so there should be no need to worry. I am on the fence myself and am strongly considering the offer right now too |

Be careful on DM's in twitter I've heard of some people sending too many DM's having their accounts banned..In fact those same persons advice other people to play by the rules and just send tweets instead

Anyway, I just got a reply from him and yes there is possibility of getting your IP banned but he said that it can happen with other webmail services too .. However, he gave me a nice tip what other big names are doing to overcome this issue ![]() Just upgraded my license.. Looking forward to implement it soon. | |
