just asking, you wanted to source the article to your blog, and someone else. Would you be able to do that.

To your blog or website, no, because if we allowed that this would no longer be a discussion forum, it would quickly turn into a self-promotiona forum.

If you link to an outside source that is not your website and it adds to the discussion, it's allowed.

If it seems self-promotional in any way or violates some other rule a moderator may see it and make a judgment call and delete it.

Some people will publish a blog on their article and then post an excerpt on a forum with a link back to the original. Though some forums consider this to be an acceptable practice, I always see it as spam. Though it will vary depending on which forum you are at.

If you are simply quoting a blog post from a site you don't own, you should always cite the source.

... and have the owner's permission before doing so, too. (Not needed to link to it, perhaps, but needed to quote the whole post.)

          Just saying ...

What do you mean inside of body? Body of Blog Post? Forum Post?

If it is for forum post No. I've seen a lot of post got deleted because of the links.

Some people put all kinds of overprocessed junk into their bodies, but I haven't heard of "the link diet" until now ...

You can't put links to your own site(s) in the text of posts in the forum; no. We're allowed to link to our site(s) only in our signature-files, provided we don't post in a way which draws attention to them, or mention them in our posts.

From what I know, you can link to other sites in your posts or threads, only if it is valuable and or gives an answer to someone else question. Ofcourse advertising or spamming your website link is not allowed. There a marketplace for advertising.

The best thing is to contact a moderator here to give you an accurate answer.
