Amazon.com affiliates question

I am planning to become an amazon's affiliate. Once I direct the traffic to Amazon, and if they customer buy for the first time, of course I make the commission.

My question is... the second time the same customer wanna buy again in Amazon, the customer may not be using my affiliate link, and from the 2nd sale onwards, I may not get to earn. So, how can I solve this problem?

Share your opinion please.

You get paid for all commissionable items they buy there within 24 hours of acquiring your affiliate cookie.

You can't, really: that's just "how the Amazon Associates scheme works". Just keep in touch regularly with your subscribers, and make sure that yours is always the affiliate cookie on their computers. (Of course that's among the countless reasons you need them to be "subscribers" and not just "visitors" ).

Regarding this and the other thread you've started, a careful read-through of this thread may help you a lot: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post6608638

Any affiliate program, Amazon's included, can take awhile before significant commissions occur, unless you already have a following, via a platform, like a blog. The key is too get them there and have that cookie drop!

This would only be a problem if you're assuming that Amazon should compensate you for introducing people to them. But let's face it, people already know who Amazon is (which is part of the reason I think it's a great affiliate program).

Your challenge is not to connect your users to Amazon as a website, but to connect your users to products that they happen to be able to buy at Amazon. If they trust you and your recommendations and if they have a genuine need for what your recommending, clicking over to Amazon to make a purchase will be a natural thing for them to do. Moreover, they'll want to do make purchases through your website because they'll appreciate the work you've done to find the products that meet their needs.

Aside from having them in your list, if you have an interesting site that promotes amazon products, asking them to bookmark your site is a pretty good idea. Whether new or returning customer, you will get commission if they go to amazon via your site.
