Clickbank Question: Selling A Product That Is Not Listed In Marketplace

I have found a product that is perfect for one of my websites and it's sold on Clickbank, but when I search for it in Marketplace, its not there?

Can I promote it anyway by putting my ID in the hoplink? How can I find out the commisson?

Hi Jack, have you been in touch with Clickbank - they're pretty much on the ball.

      Regards

If it's not in the marketplace, maybe the seller didn't want affiliates? If that is the case, there might not even be a commission rate set or, if there is one, it may be set at the lowest possible (1%).

Also, a product must have at least one referral every 30 days to remain listed in the marketplace. So, it's also possible the product you found is no longer listed because it wasn't selling well.

As to whether or not you can go ahead and add your affiliate ID and start promoting it, I really don't know. I haven't seen anything in ClickBank's FAQ one way or the other on that.

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

    Yeah, I've contacted CB.

It's possible that the author didn't want affiliates. I guess he would like to control who he is 'affiliated' with.

As a vendor I believe you only get one listing per account in the market place, so if they have multiple products only one will get listed.

Is contact info provided on the site? You could then ask if it is one of their 'other ' products under that clickbank id, in other words, not the #1 product.

Some clickbank product owners don't create affiliate pages; you could type in thedomainname.com/affiliates to see if anything shows. Sometimes people create affiliate pages but don't create a link on the home page to keep down the number of people using their own clickbank id to buy.

And as mentioned; some products don't sell well and get dropped. Others are new and not listed yet.

I use cbengine for a lot of my Clickbank research. I find it useful for research.

Try to get in contact with the product owner and see if you can arrange a JV or an affiliate agreement with him. You never know your luck.
