Solo Ads Quality Criteria

A quick question re Solo Ads, do you feel you've got value from one if you get say 40-50% optin from 70-80% T1 countries and a low CPC rate with 10% over delivery?

Or should you expect sales as well and to cover your costs or even make a profit?

That's absolutely correct however there are a few things you need to add on your list:

1.) Responsiveness of the leads you get. Do they open your emails? Do they click on your links?

2.) Sales depends on how much Clicks you've bought. It is recommended you at least buy 300 clicks to get a decent amount of data and Sales. However I do not recommend you to immediately buy that amount you can start small if you're not comfortable.

Moreover Sales will really depend on your offer. If it is your own offer, does your sales page convert? If it is an affiliate product, sales will differ if it is saturated or if the offer was just recently promoted to the list.

I recommend you Test Test Test a lot conversion of your squeeze page, your sales copy, follow up sequence and the responsiveness of the list you get from the solo ad seller.

When doing that you'll get massive amount of ROI once you are able to optimize your funnel at the same time you'll get a few sellers that matches well with your offer.

    Hi,

Is this your first Solo Ad buy?

As in terms of opt ins yeah things look good.

It's obvious you're tracking your clicks because you know that you had T1
    traffic.

If this is your first solo ad buy then I would recommend you run a few more
ads first before making any decisions on whether you should have more buyers etc.

You'll need to tweak your set up so you can improve the OTO sales you
make from your solo ad buys.

I cannot see your set up so it is hard to judge based on just the numbers you
    have given.

    But here's the thing...

...There isn't ONE WAY to make Solo Ads a success in terms of the number
    of sales you make.

Sometimes I've had a set up that I never thought would ever make a single
sale but has come up with some pretty surprising results.

    TESTING is key.

    The numbers never lie.

Again you say 40% - 50% opt in rate but how many opt ins did you actually
    get?

If you have only bought 100 clicks then you are barely testing the waters.

The best way to test smaller packages is to run a split test between 2 slightly
varied offers in terms of headlines, pricing etc.

You could run 100 clicks through each set up (200 in total) and take things
    from there.

Once you have a winner then you put another one in the losers place.

Basically you try and beat the winner until that gets trumped by your new set
    up.

And you keep doing this until you feel you cannot improve your conversions
    any longer.

It sounds like you're getting the front end right but you've got to get your back
end right too so you can make your investment back and then re-invest into
    more paid traffic.

    All the best,

    Gavin

Upfront sales are always nice to cover the cost of building your list, but the real value is marketing to the list over time.

You could try running the ad again with a different funnel to see if the results are the same/better/worse. Your opt-in rate is pretty good so it could be the product you're promoting isn't converting.

And you keep doing this until you feel you cannot improve your conversions any longer.
    Or until you retire or die. (;
