Default Is there a way to save/capture a thread or an answer within a thread?

hi warriors,

sorry if this is obvious, i just can't find it. there is so much great content on this forum that i just want to save some of the stuff as i come across it.

i know you can email it or print it and subscribe to it. but is there a way of saving portions of a thread to a "favorites folder" on wf or something like that?

many thanks,

jason

Not that I'm aware of. Perhaps you could create a folder on your PC and print the thread to PDF.

If you look at the top right of the thread you just created, you will see "Thread Tools." If you click it, you will get a drop down menu where you will see "Subscribe to this Thread." That will save the threads for you.

Click on it, then click again.

After that you can go to the Top Left of the WarriorForum screen where it says "User CP." In the drop down menu, select "Subscribed Threads." This will take you to the threads you saved.

*Sorry*
I should have read more carefully

One option you have is to use the User Notes in your profile. You can copy and paste the thread with a note of the post number you liked best. Or...You could click on the "post number." You will find this at the top right of each individual post. It will say #2, #3, #4, and so on. If you click it, then save the link in the address bar, it will save the thread at that post. Then save it in your user notes.

As an example. This post is #3. Click on the "#3", then go copy the address from the address bar. Open a new browser. Paste the address in the address bar, and you will see that this thread comes up, with this post at the top.

Here's an app that Allen had created to save forum threads to pdf.

http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...-printing.html

You can also save threads as html to a folder on your hard drive.

You can also bookmark the URL of the thread, although if it's ever deleted for any reason then you'll lose it (although you can sometimes recover it from Google cache).

And if anyone has microsoft "onenote" you can quickly load that and save it, it saves what you outline on the screen (with a link to where you got it from).

And if you do not have OneNote then you can get a free account here (well I think they still do free accounts)

https://www.evernote.com/

Which does a similar thing to onenote but it's an online thing

Jason,

Welcome to the best free marketing forum (by far) on the net.

The old forum (as opposed to the old old forum which is no longer online) is also a goldmine of information. You can read the archives at The Warrior Forum

john you are absolutely correct. i'm astonished at how generous the folks are here on this forum. i've been looking into im for 6 to 8 mths and have literally spent $1000's in that time.

if i had found this place earlier i would have a) saved a ton of money and b) fast tracked my progress no doubt about it.

as i said in another thread, the info here is literally worth $10 000's if not more. and a lot of the wsos are absolute bargains.

cheers,

jason

Jason -

I keep the important threads on my computer - this way -

Click on "thread tools" and "printer friendly" - and then I SAVE it to my computer. It's quick, easy and the entire thread including any links in it are there. If the thread is multiple pages, no problem as I just save each page in the "printer friendly" version.

I've tried several method - and this is still my easy favorite.

Your welcome Jason and also welcome to THE BEST forum ever too.

Actually I am not Welsh but I have lived here now for 8 years and I absolutely love it here, people so friendly, wide open spaces and still close to main towns.. yes the language is a bit hard but I have picked up a little here and there

Diolch (thanks)
