Help me to find software ideas

Hello all,

I'm a web developer, lately I'm interested to selling a product, but I find it difficult to define a niche, if you don't mind, would you give me an idea, what is popular software right now that wanted by internet marketer.

    I know a lot of folks would like a private blog network creator (no good one exists). Not my thing, though (I stick to WH).

    Another idea (and I'd like a free copy if you make this): "Forum Alerter." Enter some keywords into the software, enter your forums, it notifies you when posts are made with those keywords. You can do this with Google Alerts, but would be nice to have a desktop application and perhaps better features. You want more ideas, I'll brainstorm a few for a free copy.

        1. Content creation

        2. Automated affiliate (sales) processes

        3. Video creation

        4. Software that 'clones' other software and somehow allows it to be resold

        Could all make fantastic software (and big sellers) for the IM community.

        Check those products and threads out, and purchase those software yourself and start testing. See what people liked, see what they didn't - see what you did and didn't like. Create your own highly improved version -

          I would be surprised if this question isn't asked once or twice a week.

          OP, my best software programs came from my own needs. If you want to create a program, to sell, create something that would be needed by you. After you design it, sell it and enhance based on feedback.

          You can't service a group of people unless you know what they need. Doing what they do and automating those tasks are the keys, imo.

            That's what I do. When I need software now I write so it can be sold as well. That's how and why I wrote my YellowPage.com scraper. I needed to send post cards to churches and local businesses.

            So perhaps something you need anyway and then write it up so it can be sold. You'd be your own beta tester

              I have more ideas than time now, Rick. Maybe that is why it surprises me when I see this question pop up on a weekly basis.

              You got to know your market and these questions will not get anyone there.

              If I wanted to break into a niche, I would do what my customers are doing. The ideas will flood you.
