What do you think of Apple Pay? Would you use it?

As you should already know buy now, Apple has created Apple pay, where users can easily pay for products with their phone (finger print).

Would you be consider replacing Paypal when this feature roles out?

I think it would prove a big competitor against paypal with Apple Pay.
And since it does not store any information, its just a medium to allow you to use your credit card.

And money goes straight to your bank account instead of their "escrow" where they charge you extra for withdrawing money.

Any thoughts about this?

Apple Pay is only available through the iPhone 6. If you are not shopping with an iPhine 6 you can't use Apple Pay.

Apple Pay only works "in app" or at "point of sale". You can't buy things things online unless they are sold in a compatible app. There is no "Apple Pay Buy Button" that allows an online transaction like a "PayPal Buy Button".

The reason the money goes "staright into your account" is because you are processing a "point-of-sale" transaction where both the customer and merchant are present and merchandise changes hands at the time of the sale.

It may expand, but right now "Apple Pay" is mainly for "point-of-sale" transactions and not for shopping online.

Ah right, now I did not pay attention to the keynote lol.
Apparently you can use apple pay on your Apple watch even if you are using iPhone 5.

Well this is like an alternative of using Visas contactless.
Hopefully Apple pay can expand to online as well. maybe an app that allows users to click a button on the website and prompts on the phone for you to pay.

I would definitely give it a try. I think Paypal has gotten too big and asks for way too much info just to have an account.

It will be nice to see some competition for them to see how they respond.

Once it gets a foothold, I'm sure Apple will aggressively expand.

But based on their corporate behavour, I don't expect Apple Pay to any be better than PayPal for customer service, charge backs, etc.

I have searched online but still have trouble finding exactly how Apple Pay will work. Other than "tapping" an iPhone 6.
