Business In a Box PLR or Outsource?

I quite often see these business in a box done for you packages for the IM niche and they are very tempting since they include everything you need for your sales funnel including the products and videos. Are they worth it though? Has anyone used them successfully? I would want to purchase one that is fairly new and not outdated.

Naturally one would have to assume that you will be distributing the same content as everyone else unless of course you invest a little bit of time or money into re-branding it. I have really been going back and forth on which method is better for creating my first list. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

I also ask this question as someone who has to have help on their first product and has never built a list before.

It is easy to get Business In A Box/Done For You Package. But if everyone uses the same squeeze page and contents, it will easily get saturated. So look out for a package that has flexibility to transform into a new product. At least you should be able to change something and make it different.

It is cheap, fast and better than Outsourcing to create from scratch.
Even by outsourcing, there is a chance that you will get a rehashed version of Done For You Package.

I find it necessary and very helpful, in all my listbuilding, to send people (in exchange for their email addresses) something which serves all these purposes. It's perhaps even the single most directly income-determining thing I do, because it's what determines the value of the list, and without that I'd have no income.

I can't argue with that logic one bit! I do have PS and have a little of knowledge of how to make small changes so I should probably look for one that includes PSD files you are right.

Thank you Alexa! I really do try to look for other posts that relate to my questions because I know that they have asked but there are so many thousands upon thousands of posts here to sift through. Unfortunately the position I am in is that I work a FT job with very good income so I'm not going to quit my day job but want to open a new stream of income as well. This is going to have to require some outsourcing and product creation seems to be the biggest time consumer.

Hi there, building a real business can be time consuming. Just imagine yourself buying the things you sell, will it be solution to your problem?

If yes, you done it well! I dont care whether you do it in a PLR or MRR. If you can solved and convince people follow your method and get success, you are success.

If no, then thats the problem. Many WSO offer the complete set of product building, from my personal opinion, mostly they are from PLR or MRR.

If you want a product and a sale funnel ASAP, buy a quality MRR or PLR to reskin it. It cheaper and faster. But please and please, provide value to the buyer.

        Dream TFK,

IMO, the key to making something like this work is to begin with a very high quality PLR product. Don't be afraid to spend some money on it as I'm not sure you can find such a product in a dime sale for $7.

Another key that I would personally suggest is to
        1. Stay away from "make money" products
        2. At the very least, change the title and chapter or section names
        3. Change the sales page to reflect your own wording, even if you basically just re-write the page in your own style
        4. Add your own graphics (more than anything, this will give your product it's own recognition)
        5. Direct the product toward a specific niche, not a general market
        Just a word about #5 . . .

If your business- in- a- box product is of a general "how to" nature, which many are, I would suggest you target a very focused and like-minded audience to sell it to. Make the title of the product specific to that group. So if the product is "how to get your daily exercise in 15 minutes" . . . I would target that product to a very specific audience like stressed out executives, grandmothers, or single moms. You can tweak the content to make it speak to the audience you have chosen.

If you do these things, your product will be unique and you won't have others who bought the original product as your competitors.

Here's a secret - Just repurpose the product and tweak the sales page again, add a different graphic for a totally different niche and you will have a whole new second product to sell.

Everyone says to rewrite PLR so that it is unique and not the same as what all others are selling. But when you do what I have suggested and target the product to a very specific niche, the chances are very, very, good that no one in the niche will ever see the same PLR product being peddled by someone else.

Remember, you have to begin with a very high quality product because you're not going to rewrite the whole thing.

        The very best to you,

        Steve

The thing about business in a box products is this.

    1. Over 80% of buyers won't open the box. It sits on their hard drive.
    2. The few who do use it are learning how to build a business online. This kind of product "may' be helpful.

It's like learning to draw by tracing. You will get the result, just not as creatively

Thank you for the replies. Brad - If I were to buy one of the BIB products I would probably make the video courses available one day at a time drip feed via e-mails to my subs to keep them engaged. Possibly offer the whole course to be unlocked if they want to "buy it now".

So many ideas I have, so much good avice and different marketing styles here on WF it's mind boggling for sure!

I would estimate an even higher percentage.

I sell un-edited PLR from un-edited PLR mini-sites every day.

I do some simple research before I buy them.

I've never once had someone say, "Hey, I saw this exact thing somewhere else."

If you have to edit it to make it stand out from all the other people who are promoting the same site then that's not a good choice.

I bought one a couple days ago that has been for sale for almost a year. There have been over 100 sold, yet I couldn't find a trace of it anywhere online. That's a good choice.

If you don't mind me asking, where do you find the stats on it's sales? Jvzoo affiliate account? I have seen numerous posts where people swear by PLR, maybe they just have subscribers that eat it up.I have also seen the negatives about it either being crap our outdated.

Researching the PLR if possible is a great idea though and seems like common sense even though it never crossed my mind lol.

They are only as good as what you do with it. The easy part is coming up with the product, website, and other content included in the business in a box.

The hard part is finding people who will buy whats inside that box. If it was such a great idea those people wouldn't be selling it to 100 people.

If anything those businesses in a box might help you learn a few things about selling and marketing without actually having to get your hands dirty with all the technical stuff like web design and sales copy. But don't expect it to become a real business for you. Just look at it like a lego toy. Put it together and play with it for awhile and move on to something bigger.

Depends on the quality of the PLR. Small PDF's and video courses convert the best and the content has to be fresh. If you don't have the time, resources or know-how I would say PLR is just find to use.
