Advertising for Sales Agents via Craigslist

Hi all.

I was wondering what experience people have had advertising commission-only jobs in the free American cities on Craigslist. I was thinking of hiring someone to post the sales agent position on many of the different cities.

I understand I may get some replies here stating that people aren't interested in commission-only jobs, but i truly believe that the service we sell (SEO) on our website is one of the best as well as us offering decent prices for clients and huge commissions and bonuses for sales agents.

Has anyone else tried to do this? If so what were the results? Would anyone have any advice on what we should do if we did choose this route?

Thanks in advance!

Luke.

    Tried it. Not 1 taker.

I've since learned that the only way to get commission-only sales people is to cough up some funds and do some serious advertising. Perhaps careerbuilder or monster jobs. This may cost upwards of $500 through.

Commission works on Craigslist, I've averaged two sold leads per Craigslist ad.

Always keep the ads short & never give out all the details, that gets traffic to contact you for more info.

      Thanks Yukon.

Did you mention it was a commission-only position in the ad?

Yes, I made it a point to explain that the ad was looking for sales people & the pay was only commission.

List basic facts on the Craigslist ad but make it a point to leave out at least one important bit of info. to get traffic to contact you. Also, don't post a wall of text on the ad because a lot of people are reading Craigslist on phones.

I always use email for the first contact.

  • You can do it on Monster or CB you need to contact them massively and keep in mind that 99.99% will not respond. The reason I know is I get contacted for that all the time and it's commission only. I'm sure most people want a base and that is what they are used to so you have a though job becasuse that is basically an affiliate and they don't need you on that case they can go to 1000+ sites and get a product to sell they don't need you and will probably do better that way, but it has been done and it can be done!
