Best Amazon/Review Theme for Broad Niche?

Hi,

I've been using ProReview theme for single niche product reviews which is great for Amazon. However, I want to experiment with some broader niche affiliate websites and wondered if there is currently a popular/successful Wordpress theme that you guys are using?

Don't mind paying for premium themes. Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Antony.

    Honestly,

There's more to it than just selecting a "theme." I don't think we can give you a straight answer as far as what theme works. The best thing for you to do is to just keep testing it out.

More importantly, it's all about (and I know you've heard this millions of times) your content.

I agree that the theme is not nearly as important as the content. I've seen some ugly sites that are still #1 in Google under reviews because they still had some good info.

My guess is that, people are staying away from Amazon review sites as they are like saturated or something. There are some other better ways to promote amazon products not by creating review sites and some are just far effective than reviews. How To's is one of them.

I guess that best thing that you can do is to "experiment" as you said in your post. One of the many ways to test is by searching for 10 WordPress websites of Amazon review websites. Then, check out the themes that they're using. Get the top 2 to 3 themes that you like from that set of 10 websites and use the themes for split-testing. But that's just my two cents.

I am sure you don't have any problem as far as your content writing need is concerned since you do run a content writing business, correct?

    Hi,

Yeah, I've run a content business for 5 years and just sold it over Flippa. So I know all about quality content and how to get the best click throughs and conversions etc - including setting up for SEO, silo structures etc.

I was just checking if there are any popular themes out there built specifically for Amazon. However, you're right in that I'll need to research the top ones and see which ones perform the best. I know there are a lot for niche websites, but would like one that allows "top 5" sort of widgets for multiple categories rather than one.

I've got one Amazon review site that I experimented with which has made around $300 in advertising fees over Amazon (lame when you think of how much has been sold), but it's not bad for a set up and go website. This time I'll be making more websites, one with lots of low cost items to try and get the Amazon affiliate percentage up, and then a couple of others - perhaps a high ticket niche website and then a broader one.

As for the "how-to" tactic, is that more a case of how to use the product, or how to do something and the product is on the "needed tools" list?

    Thanks,
    Antony.
