Hey guys, I have a small problem with AWeber, and maybe you know how to solve it: I have a prospect list on AWeber with an autoresponder. Now, when somebody from that list buys, I want him to be moved to a different list -- a customer list -- so that I can address previous buyers differently. My fulfillment service can send the buyer's addresses to AWeber and sign them on to the new list automatically. AWeber also has a feature where you can have people automatically unsubscribed from one list as soon as they subscribe to the other list. The only problem: AWeber requires a second confirmation (double-opt-in). So the transfer wouldn't be automatic, and I would lose subscribers in the process. How do you approach this? Thank you for any hints and for taking your time, Best, Leo |

Thanks, 123rlp. I talked to the live support. They said they couldn't do anything about it, because it's their policy that each list needs its own double-opt-in. There are so many internet marketers here, and a separation between prospect list and customer list is so common -- I can't believe that noone else has had this problem with AWeber... |

Hi Leonard, One way to get them to opt-in again to a new list is to tie in a free bonus with your purchase. Set up a simple page with your bonus offer at the top and your autoresponder opt in at the bottom of the page. As soon as they opt in, either attach the bonus (if it's small enough) or send them a link to your bonus. |

Thanks for the reply! Yes, they clearly don't allow it. That's why I'm so astounded that there is no way to segment your list into prospects and buyers. That really isn't the same as creating a new list -- it's merely about an internal organization of one and the same list. Crazy that they don't have a tool for that... @Michael: Thank you, that's a good idea! One even could make the buyer's list itself a bonus by making it some kind of additonal e-course. Thanks, I hadn't though of that! |

On my Thank You page I always put another opt-in box stating something like: "register your copy and get future updates FREE". In my experience, 90% of your buyers will "register" into the opt-in.
