You are at the right place right now. Get posting and commenting on threads. If your signature converts and your lead page converts, then you can move on to paid traffic.

There are many possibilities to get free traffic or better let's say so called free traffic because you have at least to spend your time to get it. You can look for forums which are in your niche. It seems you are in the weight lose niche what means the warrior forum is not exactly the place you looking for. You need a targeted audience.

You can also start making youtube videos where you show some tips and tricks and then link back to your squeeze page with a link in the description. Another way would be pinterest. You can find about all this traffic methods a lot of information here on the forum you just have to search for it.

I would say keep using the forum as it's a great way to network with people and get your message out there. I've been using free traffic exchanges, YouTube (over 10K views) & using the forum everyday & I've already made some sales. I think the most important part is showing your offer over & over as they say it can take somebody 10 times of seeing them before they decide to join.

To increase the amount of traffic to your page, you either need time or money. It is up to you which one that you want to use.

The best free sources of traffic

Forums - Such as WarriorForum and other forums that deal with your niche. You can run a search on google.

Social Media Networks-You can grow your followers and give good content and information, and also direct your friends and followers to your website.

Craigslist-You can post in the classifieds section or the business opportunity section about your product you are trying to market. You can also post in their discussion board under whatever section your niche is in.

Solo Ad Swaps-If you already have a list, you can find someone else with a list and have them send out an email with your link to their list, in return for you doing the same for them.

The best sources of paid traffic

Solo Ads-You can pay someone that has plenty of leads to send out an email with your link so that you can gain some of their leads. You can find people with soloads on warrior forum, google, etc. Just make sure you do research before you use them. You may also want to only buy a small amount of leads at first, and if they are official then you could add them to your list of people you can purchase solo ads from.

Facebook Ads-You can pay facebook to target the people who are most likely in your market with your advertisement. This can draw plenty of people to your site depending on your budget and traffic keywords.

Coming to Free traffic stategy, I only think of content marketing and SEO
What you need is preparing the content to post on a daily basic, it's the only white hat SEO method today. Research the market and big boys for guest post. Also, commenting on authority blog is also a good choice not only for backlink but also building authority and long term referral traffic.

It seems to me that you are in Weigh Lose niche. Forum signature link is an effective source of getting traffic. You can create accounts on weight lose related forums and use your signature link to get traffic. I have a big list of weight lose related forums. If you want , please send me a PM.

Free traffic comes from search engines and back links, the only way to get free traffic is build back links and share your website to get a good ranking, so you will need to work on your website SEO and SEM.

In my opinion here are the best two options for free traffic:

1. Forum posting with a link in your signature (FREE). This method is 100% free, but, it's pretty boring unless you're passionate about the topic and also the amount of traffic you generate isn't too amazing.

2. Creating free WSOs - in my opinion, this is the best traffic source out there. You get high quality leads (subscribers) for a really CHEAP price (on average about 20 cents per subscriber from my experience).

If I were you, I'd choose one of those 2 methods.

Using this forum and getting involved with valuable contributions is a start. But it is slow and you must be consistent day in and day out.

Using safelists may be your 'quickest' solution. Check out sites like:

Most safelists suppliers are free to join. They do have upgrades but you do not need to participate in them until you are financially ready.

Finally, you can also investigate Traffic Exchanges. (Search for that exact term and look at the results).

You would probably be better off taking a few side jobs online, and using the income to buy paid traffic. I can almost guarantee you will spend less time and get more traffic this way, than by using so-called free methods.

Those "free" methods tend to have intense time costs/opportunity costs. If you spend a couple of hours a day writing articles, doing graphic work, or just general run-of-the-mill "virtual assistant" work online, you can start paying for traffic. The results may not be immediate, but you will learn. And yes, you can start buying traffic with very little money!

You can try using iViral - Viral Links I got some success with it.

In your situation, this is what I would do.

Create a few free high quality guides/freebies in your niche and get the page where the freebies/optin is ranked in Google for "buyers" keywords.
Join Googleplus and Facebook communities and group and become an active contributing member by helping others. Naturally people would start to take interest in your and what you have to offer.
Others free sources:
Content marketing (like Ezine)
Forums (related to your niche)
Other bloggers in your niche (offer them a free ebook with a link to your squeeze page), Fiverr sometimes has some decent health blogs.
Definitely create a blog, do keyword research and blog about problems and offer solutions.

Focus on 1 strategy and stick to it from 3-6 months without expecting any results.

Do 1 blog post a day or 1 video a day and stay consistent.

The results will start to come.

There are lots of source around the internet world from which you can get free and relevant traffic like, forums, relevant blogs, social media (facebook, pinterest, twitter, google+, stumbleupon), citation websites, classified ads websites.

Honestly if you want to know if your squeeze page is good and ready to go, spend about $50 for some targeted traffic. Who knows how long it will take you to use free traffic to reach an amount that will allow you to judge whether or not the page is effective. Start at Adwords or Bing Ads, or run an ad on a healthy diet site. Alot of times spending money in your business is a great thing.

I assume you have a free give away to get an email, I would post on forums that are in your niche with a link to your squeeze page
