RSS Services - Beware
Hi there , i would like to check is anyone here subscribing to rss services from RSSGround ?
Well, i think you should be forewarned not terminate your services with them immediately nor should you have any problems with paypal.
I had been using them for close to a year. Payment was through subscription with Paypal.
I was not aware that the validity of my CC had expired. Paypal in all her wisdom, did not make the renewal.
With no valid subscription, i would have assumed that RSSGround would just have simply stopped displaying the rss contents.
Nope ! RSSGround started displaying messages that content block were not available and also left a backlink (using anchor text) from my sites to RSSGround. This was on every single page of all my sites !!!
In other words, when you stop paying, not only you do not get content (which is fair) but your sites get screwed as well (very nasty of them)
So here i have about 30 sites. And each sites has between 100 - 150 pages. And everyone of them, suddenly, displaying backlinks to RSSGround.
So, if you are subscribed to their services and have any intention of stopping it, please remember the task at hand - going to every single page and deleting each and every block content.
