How Do You Start Making Money Online??

I created a sales funnel and sold products to pay for solo ads that I bought in order to build a list and start selling solo ads by building my list for free (thanks Igor K).. Now I have completely different business model which still involves digital information marketing.

I built a conversion tracking and click fraud auditing platform that produces more revenue for my customers than they pay me to use it. It's a pretty easy sell at that point. For the most part, new customers are referrals of existing customers. I did have to spend a little on AdWords and send some personal e-mails to get the first customers. I also had to put in several months of work building and testing it.

This isn't my first time 'round selling online, but the formula's always the same: solve a problem for your customer, make sure it earns them or saves them more money/time than they're paying you for that service, and you'll sell oodles of whatever you're selling. I've sold advertising services, WordPress plugins that helped affiliates earn more money and save development costs, a service that reduced credit card chargebacks for high-risk sellers like web hosts, etc.

I've mostly been using this forum, some YouTube videos, & free traffic exchanges. Already made some sales in the last couple weeks though.

I create blogs and put some Amazon products. One post a day equals to 365 articles a year can generate hundreds of traffic a day and a dozen of sales.

Way back in the day when Craigslist was still the place to be I made my first $$$ online by posting internet opportunities in the jobs section.

Not a newbie at all. I've been in marketing for over 10 years . I've just found that these are good ways to get free traffic. Once I get some more sales I'll probably invest in some professional articles, facebook ads & my own SEO company. Already been using my own product a little bit & it helped me get the 10K views on YouTube. Think I'm going to order some more tonight & keep trying to get people to share it as I go. Also gonna keep posting here everyday until I get a few thousand posts & am able to show people this is what works.

For me the best way to earn money online is through high ticker affiliate programs which allow you to earn commissions of $1000 dollars or higher.

In the current business Im in, I just drive traffic to the system and earn commissions when the system sells to my leads. It is pretty easy and rewarding!

I started writing. It was a difficult journey. For the first two years, I attracted too many scam artists, and got burned too many times to count.

when I first started I was making money selling products as an affiliate mainly thru clickbank, but I started making real money when I started creating my own products that other affiliates would promote instead.

At the starting I tried to get Adsense for my two websites but on luck. Then I start email-marketing. Actually one of my friends helped me a lot to start email- marketing. Now I am happy with my position. I am making good amount of money from email-marketing.

Honestly, I believe the best way to start making money online is by building a list. Don't make the same mistake I did and waste lots of your time with other methods. When I started out 5 years ago I did article marketing for about a year before I started building a list. I was very stubborn and did not listen to people who told me outright to go right to list building.

Although I'll admit I made some money with article marketing, but the time and effort I put in compared to what I would make was just not worth it.

I know that lots of people who want to make money online are afraid to put any money into it and some others just don't have the money. Unfortunately, starting with no investment is very difficult, as you are forced to use all free services. While using free services is fine, it often means that you have no control over the service being provided. Whether it be using a free blog service, free hosting, free domain, etc., there is no security there because you will be at the mercy of the company whose service you are using.

I think a lot of people are under the wrong impression about the size of the investment that you have to make. I would say that if you could start out with $500 you could get a very nice online business going. I would spend about $65 on hosting, a domain, an AR account (most offer low cost one month trials), and a Safe Swaps membership. I'd buy a completely ready made funnel (I got a nice one from a WSO for $20). I would then spend the remaining $400 or so on solo ads.

As soon as the solo ads are finished and you have some subscribers I would start doing ad swaps. You can find partners through Safe Swaps, but there are also many ad swap/click banking groups on Facebook you can look in. You can also utilize Skype and the this forum to find partners. You will need some testimonials to attract partners so what I would do is maybe pick 2 or 3 marketers on Facebook that you see doing a lot of click banking/swaps and offer to send them 25 or 30 free clicks in exchange for an honest testimonial. Once you have 2 or 3 good testimonials under your belt you will be able to secure good partners.

At first I would recommend putting all of the money you make from your funnel right back into buying more solo ads. If you are looking to kick start your online business quickly you will need to build your list to 1,000+ subscribers as quickly as you can. You can also join free JV giveaway events, forum sigs, blog posting & commenting, YouTube vids, Facebook groups & pages, etc to drive more traffic to your squeeze page.

At first you may be mailing your list once a day due to the fact that you may have ad swaps set up. You shouldn't mail them any promos while you are doing this. It is definitely alright to send them top quality content and work on building a relationship and gaining their trust. I would recommend just setting up a blog and posting some good content and then letting your subs know about it. While you are in the initial "turbo building" mode you shouldn't try to hard sell them at all. Just let your funnel do it's thing. You need to be testing your funnel out all the time at this stage as well. Getting the highest conversion rate possible out of your funnel is very important.

Once you get your list up to 2,000+ subs you can cut down on the ad swaps. I would recommend doing no more than 10-15 swaps per month. You can also start to mail out 1-2 promo emails per week at this time. You will want to continue investing at least 50% of your profit back into solo ads.

Just continue to do this, but scale it up as you start to make more money. Once you start to make some money, you may be able to hire people to do common tasks like forum posting, blog commenting, writing blog posts, etc. You should always be looking to buy more and more solo clicks as you start to make money. Just keep working at it and remember, Rome wasn't built in a day. This will take some time, and it will take some longer than others.

If you follow this outline you will succeed.

There's hundreds of ways to start. Which makes it so difficult for newbies to find a direction . I tried various things before I was successful, which email marketing has been a gold mine for me.

That's awesome advice nicheblogger75. I am actually going to copy and paste that into a word doc to read again, because I am looking to build my first list and considering solo-ads for my first time. But you made a good point, I have to get some great tutorials up first to add into a auto-responder before I even consider solo ads.

Several people gave their "best" way, but the way I "started" making money online was actually offline.

I offered local small businesses a way to get them to the top of Google...Then I got them there relatively easily with a video.

Not the best but it's how I started...

I started after looking for a real mentor that could help me get results.

At first I was creating a niche site but realized what I was going to make wasn't worth the time I was investing in it.

Then I found a mentor that I know could help me setup a real business.

I watched several trainings and then started my business.

First I invested in a business opportunity to make high ticket comissions.

Second I created my blog and my brand.

Third I bought the tools needed to avoid mistakes like not building my list from the beginning. I bought pure leverage, leadpages, optin skin and ninja popups to get as many optins I could from my blog.

Forth I learned a few marketing methods and started to implement them.

The most important asset you have in IM is your list.

This is the most important task you need to focus on while starting out.

If you want to make money online, you should set up a website or blog. Choose your niche, buy a domain name, and start writing! The more content you post, the faster your blog will grow. Use WordPress for your blog - it's easy to use and offers both free and paid themes along with some great apps.

The first money I made online was via Adsense but gave up after a while (It just wasn't cutting it). Then I went into Kindle and things look much better. Now I have learned all about capture pages, email marketing and I am yet to get the results in.

I sold all my crap on eBay. I was so surprised as to how easy it was to make money.

I like to comment on youtube videos, forums, and make classified ads. I use ebay affiliate program so it works for me since I can promote any product on ebay and use other people's review videos when I don't feel like making my own. I work hard at it (I probably spammed 100 posts just today) and I make about 50 dollars a month with this (my goal was just passive income). I have noticed that people on youtube and facebook rarely click my links, but the people on forums go crazy on my links until the forum then bans me
