I'm horrified to read some of these ammounts! I hope they are for websites that have special back-end needs or HUGE traffic or something, because no one should be paying more than ONE DOLLAR a month for a basic website.....

www.3ix.org is who I use and so far I've never needed more than the 40GB space, 100GB bandwidth you get for that. Other stuff you get is 20 sub-domains, unlimited FTP accounts, 2 MySQL databases, 50 e-mail accounts, 2 mailing lists, and more other features than I care to type here...

You get what you pay for.. No way I would bet my business on a $1 hosting company. Not to mention you are very limited on your growth with those packages.

I use GDI (Global Domains International) 7 day free trail then $10 a month. They are one of the Leading MLM Companies.

But If you Looking to Own Your "Own Biz" i suggest HostGator Reseller.

You will Save A lot of Money in the Long Run.

I dunno, seems pretty easy to just upgrade.
The option is always there.
My $1/month is the lowest 'package'.

I understand your comment about getting what you pay for but I've never had a problem with them. Happily, they've never given me a reason to question them

SEO Hosting - C-Class IP addresses. Not a big deal if you've only got a few sites, but if you are building a network of sites, SEO Hosting is the way to go in my mind.

$40 bucks will get you 20 GB of disk space, 200GB of bandwidth and you'll have the opportunity to host unlimited sites. The base price is $35 a month, but the extra $5 will get you 5 dedicated IP addresses as well.

If you use the coupon 35off, you'll get the first 30 days for 1 cent.

They are owned / operated by Hostgator - service & support is outstanding, or at least it has been for me.

  • 20 GB of Disk Space
  • 200 GB of Bandwidth
  • Host UNLIMITED Domains!
  • Order Now!

Hostgator for $7.98 per month with 3 year signup or $9.99 month to month no contracts.

For that you get unlimited bandwidth, disk space, domains, 64 MB of memory per domain, and 1 click backup that backups ALL disk files and ALL MySql databases. I backup and download each night before I get a good night's sleep.

I pay $9.95 per month (on an annual plan) for Dreamhost. Up time since November, 2006 is about 99.76%. Support is generally responsive and helpful. Good value for the cost.

Probably for the same reason why I have 2 dedicated servers from hostgator... Yes it is unlimited domains but it is not unlimited resources as no server has unlimited resources. The bull that you see hosting companies advertise about "unlimited bandwidth" is false. There is no such thing as unlimited bandwidth because someone must pay for that overage that you use, you think the hosting company is going to pay for it ???

I have well over 500 sites installed and over 500 mysql databases + I also host some clients sites.

OK. I've used...

Dreamhost Shared Hosting Ok for beginners... Dreamhost VPS Great for less popular sites, and recently quite stable. I like the extra power. $15.00 pm plus hosting.

BlueFur Decent Hosting but Poor Service: Even their sales is poor for contacting you. Dunno how they stay in business. Who cares?

bluehost.com Went down at Christmas on my server after some kind of problems... But good speed, friendly staff, and good prices. $7.95 pm.

hostmonster same company as above. Better deal. $4.95 for one client.

Recently, I have been using MediaTemple for one client. Easy to set up, and good panel. It's $16pm (if you use a coupon)... easily as good as DH VPS.

I also manage all my domains on NameCheap now. That's my first mistake. So I can switch sites to better hosts within a few hours at least.

So I guess it totals about $50pm for a variety of services. I do resell hosting, but using a variety of hosting companies means I can weed out the worst services and switch clients to better deals. So my clients tend to host with 'me' not with any particular hosting company.

I use Hawkhost's basic reseller plan. $10.95 a month and with discounts for annual payments and a 25% off coupon it dropped the cost to $6.50 a month.

20 cpanel accounts, 1.5 gigs disk, 15 gigs bandwidth. I figured I can always upgrade if and when I get this thing off the ground. I also have my names registered elsewhere so I can move the site if need be.

It's interesting to see that a lot of people here use Hostgator. I use their $9.95 a month unlimited hosting plan which gives me everything I need. I used to host with Easyspace - too expensive and then godaddy. I found godaddy difficult to use and after watching a Mike Filsaime video where he told of his nightmare experience with them decided to move hosts. I can't remember exactly where I was told of Hostgator but have found them to be excellent in every way particularly support.

And no I don't work for them!

Cheers
Keith

unlimited domains, unlimited email, unlimited mysql databases.

I have well over 500 sites installed and over 500 mysql databases + I also host some clients sites.

That is so true, I fell into that in the beginning too. And yes, its BS...if you have a big spike of traffic they will still email you or suspend your account for some time, it happend to me personally.

I pay $199 a month for a dedicated server with Kiosk

Looking to get another server before I launch my next product
because I went over and had to ask them for more bandwidth.

I use hostgator - they charge as little as $7.95 per month and $30 a month for a reseller account where you can host dozens of site for you or someone else.

Hope this helps

$9.95 @ Hostgator - I've tried other hosting services before, but by far, this one's the BEST! Highly recommended!

Hi,

I use Hostgator. I pay 10 dollars/month for their Baby Crocodile package. I have been hosting for almost 3 months.

So, far i am satisfied. What i like most is their customer support. It is without a doubt a top class.
