For one of my hosting accounts I am using Rackspace...it costs a little over $100 a month. Now, before anyone starts flinging torches... ...I found out the hard way on probably 3 different occasions, that when you "stress" some of these cheaper hosting services...especially at the wrong time of day...they crash. (With the most recent crash, I lost the equivalent of 10 years of "hosting fees" just from all the lost orders when the server went down...and the lost subscribers who emailed me and unsubscribed. )I've used Hostgator, Hostnexus, 1&1, and at least a couple of others... Thankfully, I have yet to be able to take down the Rackspace Cloud (formerly called Mosso)... (fingers crossed)-Jack Duncan |

I use Hostbreak and have had very good luck with them. You get 15 domains for $15/month. So far so good - support has been fine and better uptime than the other 3 hosting centers I've used (names withheld).

Which of these sites that have been mentioned (or others) would someone recommend if they were only interested in hosting companies with servers that are physically located outside of the US? Not so much concerned about getting the lowest price, just want something very reliable and solid. Any help much appreciated. |

Hmm... Is this some sort of survey? Anyway, I build Adsense sites and either keep the more profitable ones or flipped them. I used to pay about $15 per month for a reseller account with JaguarPC.com. But, last month, I got a reseller account with Hostgator.com. Its the cheapest plan ($24.95) they have, but as I got it during their promotion (75% Off), I go for the annual payment and the bill ends up as only $74.85 per annum for the first year. |

I pay roughly around 14 a month for a reseller account with HawkHost. They have a really great staff, are a bit less known, but still a great host! All the same features as Hostgator reseller, arguably even more, and about half the price per month! |

Currently, I'm paying a bit under $100/month for one server, and I have a dev server locally here I use for some things. Will probably be expanding to a second server in 2010, or possibly looking at amazon ec2 option, though a lower-end dedicated may still come out cheaper, given the bandwidth I push on some sites.

Exactly how much of an expense should hosting be compared to your revenue? I just started - and I don't want to invest in hosting... especially since I have yet to make a dime. $0.00. 000webhost. |

I'm paying around $100 a month to host all my sites. Some are on better servers that others and it's good to spread them around a bit instead of having everything in one place. |
