Re: Bleeder Site? Index Page Disappeared From Google? Help!

Please scroll down, important info post #5

Warriors, I have a strange problem I'm hoping someone might know the answer to.

I have a sales page, that links to the accompanying blog and forum. The page has been up for a year, at least.

Tonight I was doing a search for something I hoped I would rank for, only to find the page is not in the index. When doing a site search, it seems every single page possible on my site is indexed, except the sales page. Even my giveaway PDFs that were in a folder that wasn't linked to anything. Robots.txt and index/follow is all in order.

EDIT: Last night when I was laying awake thinking about it, my page was indexed at one stage, but now it has just disappeared from Google. I was there right at the top of Yahoo for the phrase I would expect, but it's nowhere in Google to be seen.

A weird thing I found when I was searching phrases in quotes looking for it, was an affiliate through Clickbank had a snapshot copy of my entire page at their site, and that came up for every search, but not my page.

I'm torn up thinking now my page will be in the supplemental index (if I can ever get it to show up again), while this affiliate is taking credit for all my carefully keyword researched and much agonised over copy.

Can this situation be salvaged Warriors? Thoughts?

you have not mentioned if you have done any linking to this page or any other type of SEO work

Maybe you just need to do some of this if you have not done it already

sprinkle your homepage around the web and see what happens

Try Digging and Stumbling the page. I've had pages indexed very quickly in Google by doing just this.

      Regards,

Thanks for your comments Warriors, but this is an old page, and now I remember, it was indexed.

Yes I have been doing some article writing, blogging, stumbling etc, but not too much, so the chances of being sandboxed are very slim.

I'm really distraught. I get most of my traffic through my sales page for my most profitable site, and been putting my heart and soul into making this one work for the past few weeks.

Why would my main sales page simply disappear from Google?

OK, it seems a little more serious and weird than I first thought.

I've just checked my stats, and the last person to arrive through Google to my sales page was on the 22nd August.

However now, because this affiliate has taken a complete snapshot of my page including the stat code, I can see how much traffic they are receiving to the snapshot of my site. All traffic to my sales page has stopped, and now it's all coming through this site.

It seems very odd and somewhat disturbing that my page has suddenly disappeared from Google, and then at the same time this site: www dot thebleeder dot com appeared and started taking all my searches. This seems a little too coincidental to me. I don't like it at all.

I want to list all the things I could have done to have my page de-indexed but I really haven't done anything out of the ordinary. All I can think of is this site could possibly have something to do with it. Could it?

I'm going out of my mind here Warriors, your thoughts and opinions of what I should do would be greatly appreciated.

Ooh it's sneaky, really sneaky. I'm sorry I keep going on Warriors, but I can't seem to concentrate on anything else and it's doing my head in.

Last night I emailed the site and said I wasn't comfortable with them having a complete snapshot of all of my work hosted at their site, so they said, ok, we'll take it down.

However, now it redirects to their affiliate link, and the links are scattered all over the internet from my indexed copy!

Very clever, I have to give that to them.

Ok, I'll be quiet now and wait for your thoughts Warriors.

Hey eCoverArtist, that's an excellent idea, thanks.

Do you know how I do this? I've searched Clickbank, but can't seem to find how?

Strictly from a revenue point of view: what's bringing in more sales: this affiliate or the sales page on Google?
I see your point Tom, but I guess I just feel a little messed up thinking they could have something to do with my index page being de-indexed.

Maybe I just need to have a cup of tea and calm down.

They couldn't have anything to do with it, could they?
