Online jokes / funny pics / humor PLR collection?

I am looking for PLR content, but not articles.

Essentially, what I am looking for includes but is not limited to: (a) jokes and humor, (b) funny pics and (c) funny videos - but in a PLR form.

Does anyone know whether one can find such stuff?

I am fine to get a paid membership also, as long as the payment is not too high ($$ per month is fine but $$$ per month is not).

Could someone please help?

      Fred,

I have never seen what you're talking about in a PLR package. I'm guessing the inability to be able to copyright such content would be the challenge.

Most funny pics sites, videos, joke sites, etc draw their content from user donated contributions so getting copyright to such content is almost impossible. I'm not sure how a PLR package of such content could be legally bundled and sold.

There is a second "problem" I see with attempting this. Humor, jokes, etc is a tough market for monetization. The Internet is loaded with free humor related content and trying to get people to pay for it is very tough.

      Good luck to you,

      Steve

        Brilliant points, Steve.

First, let me clarify, I am not going to monetize the jokes etc. I am hoping to increase the fan following of a certain Facebook page, which I hope to monetize separately. I am running it as a small experiment, with a minimal budget cap of $1,000 (as per the plans till now, of course things could change over time). I don't even know whether this experiment will take me anywhere, but I am doing it as I cannot really learn unless I do.

Something that I don't know, from what your reply to the OP has been, is that, "user donated contributions" - is, how to spot them (differentiate/identify them from other content on given sites) and how to figure their copyrights (so far I was assuming that by DMCA the publishing site owns the copyright unless stolen from another site).

But as far as someone legally bundling and selling such stuff - maybe what you have said is an eye-opener for me - maybe what you said is the REAL reason why I am not being able to find such PLR content.

Maybe the best way for me is to simply take the jokes and fun facts and humor etc whatever I encounter on the net, use my own spin (for example, a background image or some photoshop or some such thing) and publish on my Facebook fan page?

The above post is a great example of a joke

EDIT: The above post I was referring to (which was spam) was deleted which makes my post seem out of place

            Fred:

There are places where you can get royalty-free content for your Facebook page. As was already mentioned, public domain is a great source. There is public domain that is current - it's not all "ancient" irrelevant stuff.

Another source is images that are funny that you can buy (license is a better term) for under $1. All you have to do is add a humorous caption to an image and you have a funny picture.

Jokes can be changed easily and retold allowing you to spin them in a unique way. (To be honest, I'm not sure that a simple generic joke can be copyrighted. Especially if told in your own words.)

Anyway, my point is, you can put humorous things on your site without having to hunt for PLR if you get a little creative.

Find a book of jokes in the public domain. A good portion of what you find may need updating to make it current and relevant though.

    You can start here

I just did a search for royalty free jokes. There is a TON of material. There are also plenty of royalty free funny cartoon images along with regular funny people, place and things pics. You can pick up older clipart and cartoon collections on eBay for small money.

You say you have a budget for this so why not subscribe to a couple of good royalty free image sites and just go wild downloading anything you feel would be appropriate? You can also get funny video footage pretty cheap and sometimes free. Google is your friend. Good luck.

Royalty-free jokes? Is that the search term you used? Shall try it out!

Also, yeah, eBay seems to be a good idea. Shall definitely look there also.

Yes, I absolutely have the budget. Money is not at all the problem here. As I said, I am fine to pay $$ per month for getting these, though $$$ per month would probably be a bit too high (but if I see a real business case, I shall allocate that - I manage our funds anyway). So when you say subscribe to a couple of good royalty free image sites and just go wild downloading anything you feel would be appropriate, do you have any particular suggestion in mind?

I could go looking around of course, but since it came from you, I was wondering whether you have any particular source that you have found to be good or whatever.

Thanks a bunch for your already-wonderful contribution anyway!

I know of someone who did this on his website for marketing purposes. He hired someone from Fiverr to do the graphic design.

Which service on Fiverr, please? Feel free to share here, or PM, whatever works better for you!
