Accelerating Traffic.

okay, so I get low traffic numbers to my blog. I hoped at this point my numbers to be at least 10 times the traffic I am getting. Most traffic I have had is 24 visits in a day. but its mostly less than 10 visits per day.

I share my articles on social media, facebook (into 10 different group), twiiter (my feed), linkedin (my status) and google+(into about 10 different groups). I use a couple of forums I occasionally chat in too.

From doing this I have gained 3 subscribers to my email list too.

But even with this I feel there is more then can be done to get traffic to my site free.

Are there any suggestions you can give?

Thanks

Nathan

    Hi Nathan,

There are plenty of ways and equally, plenty of places to promote your blog. They all depend on what exactly is the subject matter of the blog. We can then explore the target audience in more detail.

    Hi Mrnace,

I'm going to give you a general suggestion and a specific one.

As the chap above mentioned, there are many ways to drive traffic. The first thing I would do in your case is search WF (and forums like it) to find out ideas.

Now to get specific. Since you're sharing on social networks, and therefore familiar with these platforms, I suggest growing yourself a market presence on them. If you haven't already done so: begin to grow pages, groups, communities, and accounts related to your niche.

It seems you are focusing on free methods of obtaining traffic? Have you any paid traffic methods such as solo ads, FB or media buys on forums related to your market/niche? You gotta spend money to make money in most cases, especially if you are relying on this for income NOW.

I have read a lot of threads where people say that free methods are good to work on the side but paid traffic is where it's at. Are you giving away anything good to entice the users? Is your content engaging enough and are you writing it yourself or outsourcing?

I am having the same problem. i am trying to accelerate traffic towards my youtube videos and having the same problem. Being geared to a certain niche certainly makes it quite difficult. What is your blog link? Would like to check it out.

Do you have any suggestions to market videos of this niche?
    Thanks

If you want to accelerate traffic without spending money you can do guest post on other blogs.

If you deliver very good value on these posts then the readers from other blogs are going to want to visit your site.

The are many sites out there that accept guest posts you just need to research on google.

Check out this video, it's going to help you:

    Yes, buy traffic.

Here's a hypothetical for you: You spend eight hours trying to drive "free" traffic to your site. On a good day you get 24 visitors.

So, even at a ridiculous $5 per hour you have spent $40 or nearly two dollars each for your visitors. And it took you all day to do it.

    How free is free?

There is a lot of good suggestions here, but another one I would consider is how compelling is your content. Good compelling content =higher clicks

Well that is pretty much implied above when speaking to guest posting. No authority site is going to let you post crap on their blog. Natural links with very good content will definitely bring more traffic but I'm not sure how accelerated it will be.

    Hello,

Just an advice, focus on building a BASE of followers on your social accounts, trust me, nothing beats that, and if you happen to sell the website later, you can still keep in touch with your followers. And also, take advantage of Twitter and Instagram specifically, try to build a fan base there, it will help you a lot bro.

Oh and btw try to take advantage of the fact that there is a lot of teenagers on those platforms.
    Cheers.
